6. Moaning Cavern Adventure Park
The moaning caverns were discovered close to Manteca by gold miners back in the 1840's, though arrowheads and other pointed tools found date back thousands of years. Today, visitors can enjoy underground tours as well as a few above-ground activities including ziplines and a climbing wall. Don’t forget to check out the visitor center before you go! There, you'll find tons of interesting artifacts to explore, including a necklace that dates back over 8,000 years!
7. Pixieland Amusement Park
The perfect destination for those traveling with small kids, Pixieland provides tons of attractions including a Dragon Roller Coaster, Teacups, Antique Carousel and more! Don’t forget to climb aboard the Pixieland Express before you head home. The ¼ mile-long ride takes the kiddos through a tunnel, around the duck pond, and then finally back to where they started!
8. Western Railway Museum

Located just under an hour and a half away from Manteca, the Western Railway Museum offers affordable family fun for individuals of all ages. Experience California as it existed nearly 100 years ago. You’ll also get to explore 50 historic cars on display as well as 22 miles of track across 22 acres!

Located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, the Castle Air Museum contains over seventy restored vintage military aircraft on static exhibit. The Museum It officially opened to the public in 1981 as a non-profit 501c3 organization with a mission “to preserve military aviation heritage for future generations.” You can find it located next to the former Castle Air Force Base, now Castle Airport.
