Are pets allowed? Service animals? About My Trip Planning

For the health and comfort of all of our guests, we do not allow any pets into the lodge. Service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed in all areas of the resort. For the health and safety of our guests, service animals are not allowed in the pools and attractions of the water park. Cleaning fees may be added for damages to the room.

Does the resort have a fitness center? About the Lodge

Our resort does not have a fitness center.

Are advanced deposits for reservations required? About My Trip Planning

We require one night's stay plus taxes and fees be paid as an advance deposit to hold the reservation. This can be paid by credit card. For reservations made over 30 days in advance, we also accept traveler's checks, money orders, and certified checks for the deposit. Please note that checks cannot be used as a form of payment at the lodge; they are solely accepted for reservation deposits.

Do I have to add children under the age of 2 to my reservation? About My Trip Planning

Children under 2 years of age are considered free for access to the water park and lodging, but they are considered occupants in the suite. When setting up a reservation online, we require the number of children under 2 to be listed.

 

Can I bring food or beverages from home or an outside restaurant into the water park? About the Water Park

No outside food or beverages are permitted in the water park. Please have a look at all dining options here.

What is the common attire and footwear for the water park? About the Water Park

We recommend that you bring bathing suits, aqua socks or flip flops for the 84-degree water park. Our lodge is considered casual but we do ask that when you are outside of the water park that shirts and shoes are worn.

Does the lodge offer a commissionable rate for travel agents? About My Trip Planning

Travel agents can receive a commission on the best available rates when reservations are booked through the Reservations Center or a GDS system using their IATA number.

Are coolers permitted in the water park? About the Water Park

You are welcome to bring coolers to the lodge; however, they are not permitted in the water park area.

What is the resort fee? About My Reservation

The resort fee at Great Wolf Lodge includes services or amenities designed to provide families with enhanced experiences and additional conveniences, along with included amenities that would incur an additional charge at other family resorts.  Services covered by our Resort Fee include water park amenities like life jackets and towels, resort-wide access to wireless internet, virtual concierge service, in-room amenities such as a coffee maker and mini-fridge, and perks unique to Great Wolf Lodge like access to complimentary arts & craft projects provided during select kids’ entertainment programs, and complimentary Wolf Ears for kids 12 and under.

What can I do if someone gets sick before we arrive? About My Reservation

If a family member's sickness inhibits you from your travel plans, we will gladly rebook your getaway. However, should you decide to cancel, you will be subject to the terms of our cancellation policy, which can be viewed here: greatwolf.com/terms-and-conditions. Reservations made on the Early Saver promotion are subject to a non-refundable deposit after the time of booking. 

If your plans change at the last minute (or anytime within three days of arrival), please call us and we'll try to rebook your trip for different dates. You would only forfeit your deposit if we couldn't rebook your getaway at all. You are subject to the best available rate on these new dates.

How do I reserve an accessible suite? About My Trip Planning

Accessible suites are labeled as such and marked by an accessible icon within the booking process. If you would prefer to make a reservation over the phone, please call 800.605.9653. We can offer a variety of options to meet your needs!

Is grilling / cooking permitted at the resort? About the Lodge

Grilling, cooking, birthday candles or any other types of open flames are not permitted in suites, patios/balconies or on resort grounds.

Are the waterslides wheelchair accessible? About the Water Park

Waterslides and our elevated attractions are not wheelchair accessible.

Do the rooms have a refrigerator and/or microwave? About the Lodge

Our suites include a small refrigerator, measuring approximately 3' tall and 2' wide. Microwaves are only available in the vending area on each floor. 

What amenities are open to the public? About the Lodge

Excluding the water park, all additional amenities are open to the public. This includes our restaurants and MagiQuest®. Some activities may be restricted to guests only. See location for restrictions.

Do children need to be supervised in the water park? About the Water Park

All children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times in the water park.

Do you allow casts in the water park? About the Water Park

Casts are allowed in the water park. There are requirements for certain rides for maintaining body positions such as grasping handles or keeping legs in position. These criteria, in addition to how the cast will contact the ride will determine your ability to wear a cast on a ride.

When you stay at Great Wolf Lodge, your water park passes are included for each registered guest. These water park passes allow access to the water park through the day of your departure. 

Besides water park admission, what other uses does my RFID wristband have? About My Reservation

Great Wolf Lodge water park wristbands are RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device). This means you don't have to carry cash or room keys! You can use your wristband to open your suite door and you have the option of setting your wristband up for purchases throughout the lodge. There may be fees associated with the replacement of RFID wristbands. 

Does the resort have wheelchair accessibility? About the Lodge

Our hotel public spaces, accessible rooms, and water park decks are ADA compliant. Temporary use of wheelchairs are available through Guest Services on a first come, first serve basis.

Can my child use the water park if they wear diapers? About the Water Park

Any child who still uses diapers or is susceptible to accidents must wear a protective swim diaper inside the water park. Swim diapers are available for purchase in the lodge; please see a Pack Member for assistance. Parents: For the safety of all, please take your children to the restroom often to avoid polluting the water.

Where do I go when I arrive at the lodge? About My Reservation

Upon your arrival to Great Wolf Lodge, you will proceed to the main building entrance where you will be greeted by one of our Pack Members. That is where you will receive your keys and water park wristbands.

Can I request a particular suite style during check in? About My Reservation

Suite style preference must be booked at time of reservation.

When you stay at Great Wolf Lodge, your water park passes are included for each registered guest. These water park passes allow access to the water park through the day of your departure. Parking is not included in the room rate.

Why is there a maximum occupancy in the suites? About My Trip Planning

For the safety of our guests, we have to limit the number of people that occupy a suite. At Great Wolf Lodge, we do offer certain suites that can accommodate a maximum of 12 people. Infants are free of charge for water park access and lodging, but they are counted as an occupant in a suite.

Can we request a balcony or patio during the reservation process? About My Trip Planning

Balcony/Patio suites can be reserved online by clicking "with Balcony/Patio" on the Suites page during the booking process. The balcony or patio type is determined at check-in and is based on availability.

Are there chairs (aside from cabanas) to leave our belongings? About the Water Park

Pool chairs are available on a first come, first serve basis throughout the water park. There are also lockers available in the water park for guest use. Larger items, such as luggage, will need to be kept in your suite or vehicle.

What do I need to provide when I arrive at the lodge? About My Reservation

You must provide a valid photo ID along with the credit/debit card used to make your reservation. The remaining balance of room rates, packages, taxes and fees will be collected at time of check-in. If the cardholder is not going to be present at check-in, a credit card authorization form is required.

What is the change fee? About My Reservation

What items should I bring on my trip? About My Reservation

Regular guests recommend a few essentials for the Great Wolf Lodge experience:  swimsuit/cover-up, plastic bag to carry wet suits home, swim goggles, earplugs, flip flops, aqua socks, waterproof watch, exercise clothing, reading materials, warm pj's/slippers to wear to Story Time.  We provide towels in the water park area. If you're not swimming, you may still wish to bring comfortable clothing for our 84-degree water park area. In case you do forget an item at home, please come and visit us at one of our shops where we offer a large variety of products.

 

 

Are lockers available in the water park? About the Water Park

We do have a locker room with small lockers available for your use. The lockers are rented on a daily basis for a nominal fee. Larger items, such as luggage, will need to be kept in your room or vehicle.

Will my suite be pre-assigned prior to my stay? About My Trip Planning

The Lodge assigns suites on the day of arrival. Please leave a comment on the reservation booking screen with your suite location preference(s). These requests can not be guaranteed, but our guest services team will do their best to fulfill your particular request(s).

Do you accept prepaid cards and debit cards? About My Trip Planning

For prepaid cards, we recommend that you have at least 20% over your payment due in order for our systems to read the cards. Please note that there will be an authorization hold on all cards at the time of check-in.

Debit cards are strongly discouraged. The use of a debit card at the time of check-in will initiate an immediate deduction from your bank account for the remaining balance of room and tax for your stay. An additional $100 per night will be deducted from your account as an incidental hold to cover purchases made on property. Upon check-out any unused funds will be credited back to your account. Based upon the business rules of your bank this may take up to 72 hours or longer to be processed. Great Wolf Lodge is not responsible for overdrafts or fees associated with your debit card.

What are your guidelines for swimwear? About the Water Park

Suitable swimwear is required for personal safety. Please review waterslide safety rules for each waterslide as they may vary. The safety standards do not permit cover-ups, loose clothing, or headwear — including Hijabs that wrap around the neck — on select waterslides and attractions. Swim caps are allowed. Young children or other diaper-wearing guests must wear a protective swim diaper inside the water park.

What are the quiet hours for the lodge? About the Lodge

11:00 p.m. -7:00 a.m. are the quiet hours for the lodge.

The incidental hold is $100 per night. Our resort is operating cashless; please be prepared to use a credit card or set up your lodge wristband to make purchases.

What does the Flex package cover and when can it be purchased? About My Trip Planning

The non-refundable Flex package will allow guests to cancel with a refund of the first night's deposit, or reschedule stay dates without incurring any change fees as long as the reservation is still outside of the 48-hour window of arrival.
It can only be purchased at the time of booking. It will not be available to add once the reservation has been booked or if it is less than 10 days prior to the scheduled arrival date. Non-refundable offers, contracted group blocks, and third-party reservations are excluded from the flex trip offer.

Are life jackets provided? About the Water Park

Coast Guard approved life jackets are available on a first come, first serve basis. We strongly recommend that children under 48 inches and weak or non-swimmers wear a life jacket. Please note that inflatable toys are not allowed in the water park.

Can my child use the water park if he/she wears diapers? About the Water Park

Diaper wearing guests are asked to wear a protective swim diaper. Please see a Pack Member for assistance. Parents: take children to the restroom often as polluting pools causes an unhealthy condition.

Does the resort have on-site restaurants? About the Lodge

Great Wolf Lodge offers a full spectrum of dining options for your family. You can see all the restaurants in the Dining & Shopping section.

What is the minimum age requirement to confirm a reservation? About My Trip Planning

Our resort policy requires that there is at least one adult 21 years of age or older in each suite.

Can I use cash at the resort? About the Lodge

Our resort is operating cashless; please be prepared to use a credit card or set up your lodge wristband to make purchases. We will not accept cash at check-in or any outlets.

Are there any water park restrictions if I am pregnant? About the Water Park

Because we do offer some rides that are considered to be extreme, we encourage you to view the restrictions for each attraction.

Does the resort have an ATM? About the Lodge

Great Wolf Lodge operates as cashless, so there is no ATM on-site.

Is my child safe in the water park? About the Water Park

We employ hundreds of lifeguards, which have extensive training in monitoring pools and operating rides. You may observe some of their regular drills performed during operation, which provides real-life practice. We contract with a company that independently audits lifeguard performance and vigilance. In addition, we would like to remind parents that although we have award-winning lifeguards, they are not a substitute for responsible parental supervision. Lifeguards are provided to monitor and respond to emergencies, but not to baby-sit children. Always keep your child within arm's reach and if your child is in the water, you should be too.

Are towels provided in the water park? About the Water Park

Towels are provided for your family in the water park as well as bathing towels in your suite. You may wish to bring a beach towel or cover up as we ask that the towels stay in the water park area. Towels in the water park are included but are subject to a fee if not returned.

Are Pack 'n Play cribs available to reserve during stay? About the Lodge

Pack 'n' Play cribs can be reserved by clicking "Pack 'n' Play" on the Reservation page. Pack 'n' Play cribs are complimentary but are first come, first serve and cannot be guaranteed during high occupancy periods. Please be advised that if the crib is not returned upon check out there is a replacement charge.

Can we bring our own puddle jumpers/life jacket? About the Water Park

Guests are permitted to bring their own life jackets. Coast Guard approved life jackets are available on a first come, first serve basis. We strongly recommend that children under 48 inches and weak or non-swimmers wear a life jacket. Please note that inflatable toys are not allowed in the water park.

Check-in time begins at 4 p.m. or as rooms become available. However, you are welcome to play in the water park as early as it opens. In the event that your room is not ready, we recommend that you pack a smaller bag with bathing suits and swim gear and leave the rest of your luggage locked in your car. Stop by the front desk to let us know you're here and pick up your water park wrist bands. There are lockers, showers, and changing areas available for your use in the water park. We require guest checking in to be at least 21 years of age. A valid, Government Issued Photo ID is required upon check-in along with credit card for incidental charges. Your card will be authorized for a daily amount on your reservation if you would like to allow charging on your reservation.

What time can you use the waterpark at Great Wolf Lodge? About the Water Park

For water park hours during your stay, please view our Indoor Water Park page. You can access the water park any time after opening on your arrival day and until closing time on your departure day.

Check-out time is 11 a.m. As our guest, please feel free to enjoy the water park facilities until closing. We recommend packing a smaller bag with bathing suits and a change of clothes and leave the rest of your luggage locked in your car. If a late checkout is desired we offer a 2:00 p.m. check-out for an additional fee. Please check with the front desk about pricing and availability.

Will my room be ready when I arrive? About My Reservation

Room check-in does not begin until 4:00 p.m. or as your room becomes available. However , you can access the water park any time after opening on your arrival day and until closing time on your departure day. There are changing rooms, lockers and showers available for you.

How much of the park is outdoors? Is there a need for sunscreen? About the Water Park

The majority of our water park is indoors. There is no need for sunscreen while playing in the indoor water park, but we do encourage using sunscreen when spending time at our outdoor water park and attractions.

When is the outdoor pool open? About the Lodge

The outdoor pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day

Starting October 1, 2023, the lodge will be requiring a parking fee of $15 plus tax per night, to park a car on property in the parking lot(s) to any vehicle parking more than 30 minutes. Each vehicle parked in the Great Wolf parking lot will be required to pay a parking fee.
