2. Bubble Wands

About 15 minutes

Materials Needed:

  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Colorful Beads
  • Cookie Cutters
  • Scissors

Having kids create their own wands makes blowing bubbles even more exciting and is super easy to do. Have the kids pick out their favorite cookie cutter shape. Use it to mold a pipe cleaner into shape. Take another pipe cleaner and decorate it with colorful beads.

Twist the two together to create your own original bubble wand. You might want to have some bubbles on the table before you finish. The kids will be eager to put their new toy to use!

About 20 minutes

Materials Needed:

  • Empty Water Bottle
  • Duct Tape

This activity is a unique and colorful twist on blowing bubbles. Begin by cutting off the bottom of the water bottle. Slide your sock over the opening and use duct tape to secure it in place. Next, pour some dish soap into a shallow container with some water and stir gently.

 4. Bubble Wrap Letter Game

About 10 minutes

Materials Needed:

  • Bubble Wrap
  • Sharpie Marker
  • Push Pins

Here’s a great exercise for young kids who are still getting familiar with the alphabet. The best part? It only takes about ten minutes to prepare! Begin by writing letters on the back of a sheet of bubble wrap. Use different color markers to create a rainbow alphabet. Once you finish, attach the bubble wrap to the wall using your push pins. Remember, you’ll have to flip your sheet around to begin the activity so make sure the letters are written backward. That way, they’ll appear the right way around once it’s time to kick things off.

Ask the kids to pop the letters and call them out as they go! You can test their existing knowledge of the alphabet by asking them to pop specific letters or to spell out certain words. Don’t forget to ask them to pop “their letter,” or the first initial of their name!
