OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. WINNERS WILL BE SELECTED IN RANDOM DRAWINGS FROM AMONG ALL ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED.  OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO ARE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND OF THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE AND LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.  VOID ELSEWHERE AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED IN A MANNER INCONSISTENT WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES.

BY PARTICIPATING IN ANY ASPECT OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES AND THE RULES, POLICIES AND PROCEDURES OF THE SERVICE(S) SUCH ENTRANT USES TO ENTER THE PROMOTION AND ANY PLATFORM(S) AT WHICH AN ENTRANT MAKES A SWEEPSTAKES VIDEO SUBMISSION.  AS USED IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES “Platform” or “PLATFORM” MEANS THE PLATFORM(S) AN ENTRANT ELECTS TO USE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION, WHICH MAY INCLUDE, TIKTOK, INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK AND/OR X (TWITTER). FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES WILL VOID AN ENTRANT’S ENTRY IN THE SWEEPSTAKES.

1.  ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: The Surprise! We’re going to Great Wolf! Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry and of the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. Void elsewhere and wherever prohibited by law or in a manner contrary to these Official Rules.  Employees, contractors, directors and officers of Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its subsidiary and affiliated entities, advertising, and fulfillment agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Sweepstakes (collectively, “Sweepstakes Parties”), and the immediate family members of each (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, and spouse or "step" of each) and those living in the same households of each are not eligible to participate.

2.  ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES:  The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 p.m. Central Time on July 31, 2023 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time on December 15, 2023 (the “Entry Period”).  Enter online during the Entry Period in one of two ways: (1) post a video on TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter) or Facebook showing <specify> with the hashtags #GWLSurprise and #GWLsweepstakes and tag @GreatWolfLodge, or (2) to enter without posting a video, print your name, address, day-time telephone number, e-mail address, and the words “Surprise! We’re going to Great Wolf! Sweepstakes” on a 3 x 5 card and mail it in an envelope to: Great Wolf Resorts, Attn: Surprise! We’re going to Great Wolf! Sweepstakes Entry, 350 N. Orleans Street, Chicago, IL 60654 (the “Sweepstakes Address”) during the Entry Period.  A video or mail in entry are sometimes referred to as an “entry.” Limit one entry per postage paid outer mailer.  To be entered in the Sweepstakes via posting a video on a Platform, the Platform account must be set to enable public viewing of the entrant’s video.  Limit one entry in the Sweepstakes per person regardless of means of entry.

3.  VIDEO CONTENT: The entrant and members of such entrant’s “immediate family” may be the only identifiable individuals shown or referenced by name in a video and all identifiable individuals appearing in a video must have provided their consent (or the parent/legal guardian of the minors have provided consent) for submission of a video and use of such video as contemplated in these Official Rules. In Sponsor’s sole discretion, anyone referenced by name or shown in a video (or the parent/legal guardian of any minors) may be required to execute and return consent forms / releases confirming the representations, warranties and grants of rights contemplated in the Official Rules. 

All videos must be suitable for family audiences and must not contain any words or content that: is indecent, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, profane, slanderous or libelous; promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; contains profanity or sexual content; promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms or weapons; promotes any third party product or service or otherwise contains commercial messages or endorsements regarding third party products or services; is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations of the United States, has been copied or plagiarized; violates or infringes (or may infringe) any copyright, trademark, logo, mark or other identifier of source, or other proprietary right of any entity or person; appears to result in any injury or bodily harm or unsafe use of a product; and/or is lewd or inappropriate or offensive or not in keeping with Sponsor’s image, including nudity, acts of violence or acts that appear to cause harm or are otherwise objectionable to Sponsor. Any video that, in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, violates any of the above or other prohibitions and/or representations or warranties of entrant may be disqualified from the Sweepstakes or removed by Sponsor. In the event that an entrant or video is edited, removed and/or disqualified, entrant is not relived from responsibility for compliance with these Official Rules. 

4.  REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES; RIGHTS IN VIDEOS:  By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree that (a) you have read or had read to you these Official Rules and are in agreement with them, (b) you have received permission for the use of the likeness and image of all identifiable people AND locations appearing in your submitted video and grant to Sponsor the rights contemplated in the Official Rules. By submitting a video in connection with the Sweepstakes you represent and warrant to Sponsor that (i) your video is your own original work, that if you are not the videographer that you own the copyright in such video  and that you have the sole right to submit it to the Sweepstakes; (ii) your video does not violate in any way rights of third parties, including but not limited to copyright and other intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights; (iii) your video does not violate any applicable laws; (iv) you have obtained all necessary licenses or permissions from all applicable third parties required for the production and submission of the video in the Sweepstakes and use by Sponsor or others as contemplated in these Official Rules; (v) the posting and/or display of your video or other use by Sponsor or those deriving rights through Sponsor will not violate the rights of any parties or otherwise breach any provision of any applicable law or regulation; (vi) Sponsor has your irrevocable permission for the posting of any and all information included in your video in connection with any permitted use of your video; and (vii) use and posting of the video or any part of the video provided by you in any manner in connection with the Sweepstakes or as otherwise permitted by these Official Rules may be made without any notice, review, approval, consideration or compensation (except for any awarded prize as contemplated in these Official Rules), regardless of whether your video is a winning video.  By submitting your video to the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes you agree to and thereby waive any and all moral rights that exist in your video and any derivative works made there from.  All entrants hereby grant to Sponsor an everlasting, royalty-free, assignable, irrevocable, unrestricted license to use, utilize, replicate, alter, adapt, modify, publish, perform, broadcast, translate, produce derivative works from, distribute, present, display, sublicense and exercise all copyright and other intellectual property and other rights with respect to each video worldwide and/or to include, in part or in whole, each video in other works by any method and in any media now known or later created, anywhere and forever, including in connection with promoting Sponsor and the Sweepstakes,  without further review, notice, approval, consideration or compensation.  Except where legally prohibited, by submitting your video you irrevocably agree that your name and city and state of residence may be used in connection with the permitted use of the rights contemplated by this paragraph.  In Sponsor’s sole discretion, anyone appearing in the video (or the parent/legal guardian of any minors) may be required to execute and return consent forms / releases confirming the representations, warranties and grants of rights contemplated in the Official Rules.  Entrants and winners acknowledge and agree that Sponsor has the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, promote and otherwise use or not use (or remove) Entries in any way it sees fit.  

5.  PRIZES:  There are a total of five (5) Monthly Prizes (defined below) and one (1) Grand Prize (defined below) to be awarded in this Sweepstakes.

Each Monthly Prize consists of the following: a two (2) consecutive night stay at a Great Wolf Lodge for up to four people (including winner) and a $150 Great Wolf Lodge gift card (Total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) $1,550 depending on date of stay and selected lodge).  Each Monthly Prize winner will have the opportunity to gift a two (2) consecutive night stay for up to four people to stay a Great Wolf Lodge. 

The Grand Prize consists of the following: a two (2) consecutive night stay at a Great Wolf Lodge for up to four people (including winner) and a $1,000 Great Wolf Lodge gift card (ARV $2,400 depending on date of stay and selected lodge).  The Grand Prize winner will have the opportunity to gift a two (2) consecutive night stay for up to four people to stay at a Great Wolf Lodge.  Any person joining winner in the stay or participating in the gifted stay is referred to as a “guest.”

Prizes must be redeemed within 12 months of award and may be subject to advance booking requirements and blackout dates.  Prizes are nontransferable and no substitution of prize by winner is allowed.  Sponsor reserves the right to award prize (or portion of prize) of equal or greater value, in its sole discretion. Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for damages, losses, or injury resulting from acceptance or use of any prize or participation in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to request from any entrant additional documentation it reasonably believes is necessary to validate any entry or to award any prize. All expenses not specifically mentioned herein are not included and are solely the applicable winner’s or guest’s responsibility. Resort regulations and conditions apply. All federal, state, local, municipal taxes and any expenses, costs, or fees associated with the acceptance and/or use of any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner or gifted stay claimant / guest as the case may be.  

Guests of winner must be 21 or older and of the age of majority in his or her jurisdiction of residence or an immediate family member of winner and may be required by Sponsor to sign a release consistent with that required of the prize winner as a condition to receipt of and/or participation in the prize. 

Guests participating as part of a gifted stay may be required to sign a Liability and Publicity release provided by Sponsor as a condition to participating as a guest.

6.  ODDS OF WINNING; DRAWING DATES:

One (1) entry will be selected in a random drawing to be held on August 22, 2023, from entries determined by Sponsor to have been made from online entries made or mail in entries postmarked by 11:59:59 p.m. CT on or before August 15, 2023 to award one Monthly Prize.  

One (1) entry will be selected in a random drawing to be held on September 22, 2023, from entries determined by Sponsor to have been made from online entries made or mail in entries postmarked by 11:59:59 p.m. CT on or before September 15, 2023 to award one Monthly Prize.  

One (1) entry will be selected in a random drawing to be held on October 22, 2023, from entries determined by Sponsor to have been made from online entries made or mail in entries postmarked by 11:59:59 p.m. CT on or before October 15, 2023 to award one Monthly Prize.  

One (1) entry will be selected in a random drawing to be held on November 22, 2023, from entries determined by Sponsor to have been made from online entries made or mail in entries postmarked by 11:59:59 p.m. CT on or before November 15, 2023 to award one Monthly Prize.  

One (1) entry will be selected in a random drawing to be held on December 15, 2023, from entries determined by Sponsor to have been made from online entries made or mail in entries postmarked by 11:59:59 p.m. CT on or before December 8, 2023 to award one Monthly Prize.  

One (1) entry will be selected in a random drawing to be held on December 15, 2023, from entries determined by Sponsor to have been made from online entries made or mail in entries postmarked by 11:59:59 p.m. CT on or before December 8, 2023 to award one Grand Prize.    

Odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received.

7.  WINNER SELECTION, NOTIFICATION AND CONFIRMATION: Tentative prize winners will be selected in a random drawing to be held as specified in Section 6 and conducted by Sponsor or its designee(s). Within seven (7) days of the drawing, Sponsor will attempt to notify the entrant who has been selected in the drawing by direct message via a Platform at which the entry was posted or via email or telephone if entry was made via mail. To be confirmed a winner, the selected entrant will be required to sign and return within seven (7) days of notification attempt, an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (where permitted by law) and affirmation of grant of rights (the “Affidavit”) or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be determined.  Except where prohibited by law, each prize winner further grants to the Sponsor the right to use such prize winner’s name, photograph, voice, likeness and city of residence for purposes of advertising or promoting and publicizing the efforts and activities of the Sponsor and the Sweepstakes without further consideration and to release his or her name and city / town / state of residence to persons requesting the names of the winners of the Sweepstakes.  Non-compliance or the return of any prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.  

Following timely receipt of the Affidavit and confirmation by Sponsor of compliance with the Official Rules, a selected entrant will be confirmed a winner and will receive the prize for which such entrant’s entry was selected.  In the event that of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant who has been selected as a tentative prize winner, Sponsor may choose to deem the entry to have been made by the “Assigned Account Holder,” that is, the individual person who is assigned the email account corresponding to the selected entry.  

8.  GENERAL CONDITIONS: No cash equivalent or substitution of any prize is offered, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and have no cash value. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s Privacy Policy (available at https://www.greatwolf.com/terms) which are final and binding in all respects. If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry or drawing process, and to cancel, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is offered only in the United States and is governed by the laws of the state of Illinois, and participants agree that venue with respect to any dispute will be in Chicago, Illinois, and all claims must be resolved in the federal or state courts located in Chicago, Illinois.

9.  LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Sweepstakes Parties resulting from participation in or attempt to participate in the Sweepstakes. No responsibility or liability is assumed by the Sponsor or Sweepstakes Parties for technical problems or technical malfunction which may affect the operation of the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to any of the following occurrences: hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or Internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any email transmissions to be sent to or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted email transmissions; inaccessibility of any Platform(s); traffic congestions on the Internet; unauthorized human or non-human intervention of the operation of the Sweepstakes, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, worms; or destruction of any aspect of the Sweepstakes, or loss, misdirection, inaccessibility or unavailability of an account used in connection with the Sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules. Sponsor and the Sweepstakes Parties are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user's or any other person's property resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes. By participating in the Sweepstakes, the entrant agrees to resolve any dispute relating to the Sweepstakes and any prize individually, without resort to any class action. By accepting a prize in the Sweepstakes, winners agree that the Sponsor and Sweepstakes Parties shall not be liable for any loss or injury resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of any prize. Except if winner is a resident of TN, or where prohibited by law, by accepting prize, winner grants permission for Sponsor and those acting under its authority to use winner’s name, photograph, voice, image and/or likeness, for advertising and/or publicity purposes, in any and all media now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time limitations and without additional compensation.

BY PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, PARTICIPANTS AGREE TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND THE SWEEPSTAKES PARTIES, FACEBOOK, X (TWITTER), TIKTOK AND INSTAGRAM FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES OR RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE, INCLUDING PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.  EACH PARTICIPANT FURTHER AGREES THAT IN ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, THE SWEEPSTAKES PARTIES’ LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE COST OF PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, AND IN NO EVENT SHALL SPONSOR, THE SWEEPSTAKES PARTIES OR FACEBOOK, X (TWITTER), TIKTOK AND INSTAGRAM BE LIABLE FOR ATTORNEYS’ FEES, PUNITIVE, CONSEQUENTIAL, DIRECT OR INDIRECT DAMAGES AND EACH PARTICIPANT WAIVES THE RIGHT TO CLAIM ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER.

10.  WINNERS LIST/RULES REQUEST: Winners will be announced by Sponsor on one or more Platforms. A Winners List and copy of the Official Rules can also be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope (except where not required by State law) to Cori Winchel, Attn: “We’re Going to Great Wolf! Sweepstakes” at the Sweepstakes Address before June 30, 2024. Limit one request per postage-paid outer mailer.
