It’s time to start preparing for the spookiest time of year! The best way to get in the Halloween spirit is with some fun snacks, of course. Check out these easy fall-inspired snacks that kids of all ages will enjoy!

Chocolate Drizzled Caramel Apple Sticks

This spin on traditional caramel apples will have the whole family obsessed!

What you’ll need:

1. Granny smith apples

2. Caramel

3. Lollipop sticks

4. Lemon

5. Cream

6. Chocolate

Instructions:

Step 1: Slice apples

Step 2: Coat apples in lemon juice

Step 3: Insert lollipop sticks into each slice

Step 4: Melt caramel with cream and stir

Step 5: Dip apples into caramel

Step 6: Drizzle with chocolate and other toppings of your choice

Step 7: Enjoy!

Pumpkin Cinnamon Oats

These oats are delicious and can be eaten by themselves as a yummy after-school snack or as a topping for yogurt!

What you’ll need:

1. 3 cups of rolled oats

2. ½ cup of nuts (optional)

3. ½ cup pumpkin puree

4. ½ cup coconut oil

5. 1 cup maple syrup

6. 1 tsp salt

7. 2 tsp cinnamon

8. ½ cup coconut flakes

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2: Mix oats, cinnamon, salt, nuts, and coconut flakes in a bowl

Step 3: Mix pumpkin puree, coconut oil, maple syrup

Step 4: Mix wet and dry ingredients

Step 5: Spread oats onto nonstick baking sheet, either sprayed or lined

Step 6: Bake for 30 minutes, stir/shake halfway

Step 7: Let cool and enjoy

Roasted Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Seeds

This recipe is a great way to utilize your pumpkin seeds after pumpkin carving!

What you’ll need:

1. Raw pumpkin seeds, rinsed and dried for 24 hours

2. Cinnamon

3. Sugar

4. Coconut oil

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees

Step 2: Melt coconut oil in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl

Step 3: Coat pumpkins evenly in oil

Step 4:  Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl

Step 5: Coat pumpkin seeds with cinnamon-sugar mix

Step 6: Bake for 30 minutes, stirring halfway

Step 7: Make sure seeds are hardened and toasty

Step 8: Let cool and enjoy!

Halloween Trail Mix

Kids will love this festive fall trail mix. Store in a plastic bag to keep it fresh!

What you’ll need:

1. Chex

2. Pretzels

3. Cheerio’s

4. White chocolate chips

5. Candy corn

Instructions:

Mix the ingredients in a bowl along with any other special additions and enjoy!

Spiced Apple Cider

This easy store-bought juice spiced apple cider recipe is easy for any day of the week!

What you’ll need:

1. 4 cups apple juice

2. 2 cinnamon sticks

3. 4 Cloves

4. ½ tsp nutmeg

5. 1 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup

*Tip: Adjust spice amounts to your preference

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan over medium-low heat until it simmers, then simmer for 30 minutes. Taste test after 30 minutes and remove spices from the mixture once it is to your liking. It can be served hot or cold!
