The Parents’ Guide to R&R at Great Wolf Lodge

Ahh, R&R. Rest and relaxation. Remember when those two things existed? Before you had little ones running around, you had time for nice dinners, spa days, and even a trip to the gym here and there. Now, nice dinners have been downgraded to takeout, spa days have been replaced with bath time, and “working out” is now solely achieved by chasing your little ones around the house.

If you can’t even get a second to yourself when you’re at home, you must think it’s completely impossible while on vacation. A Great Wolf Lodge vacation may seem like it’s just for the wolf pups, but it’s actually for the entire pack! There are even offerings and fun adult activities designed specifically for parents (because we know how badly you need a break). Here are some adults-only amenities that you can look forward to on your next Great Wolf Lodge getaway.

 Wine Down Service

Great Wolf Lodge’s new signature wine, cheese, and dessert pairing program allow parents to “wine down” after a fun-filled day of play with their children. The Wine Group helped us to develop a delectable menu that features both sweet and savory culinary treats, perfectly paired with a delicious bottle of wine.

The packages start at $35, with delivery included so that you can savor them without leaving your suite. So once the children have fallen asleep after a long day of splashing and sliding, take your pick from these sommelier-curated wine pairings, and enjoy the peace and quiet.

  • Rekindle the Bonfire: This romantic package pairs Chloe Prosecco with delicious dark chocolate-covered strawberries (marked with white chocolate paw prints for Great Wolf flair!)
  • While the Pups Sleep, Chardonnay: The citrus and apple flavors in Cupcake Chardonnay are brought out by the brie, dried apricots, and crackers that come with it.
  • It’s Been a Fun-Filled Day, Time for Some Cabernet: For the meat lovers of the world, this platter includes prosciutto and soppressata along with Mediterranean green and black olives. And of course, a fantastic Concannon Cabernet Sauvignon to go with it.
  • Kids Snoring, More Pinot Noir-ing: The fruity flavors in Love Noir are brought out by luscious chocolate truffles and bite-sized chocolate morsels.

Thirsty yet? Us, too.

North Hot Springs

Whether you’re taking a break from the excitement or ending a fun-filled day of water park play, you’ll love our luxuriously warm North Hot Springs—included with your stay and reserved for adults (21+) only. Put your feet up and feel the heat relaxing every muscle as you melt your cares away. After all, vacation is supposed to be relaxing, right?

Iron Horse Fitness Center

While you certainly may get enough exercise chasing your little ones around the Lodge, you can also stay on top of your game at the Iron Horse Fitness Center, which is also included with your stay. You’ll find cardio equipment, weights, flat-screen TVs, and even towel service—all starting at 5:00 a.m. and ending at 11:00 p.m. so you can get your exercise in before the day begins or after your pack has fallen asleep.

Coffee

Caffeine is every parent’s best friend—and we’ve got you covered. Whether you need your morning fix or an afternoon pick-me-up, there’s a place to get coffee at every Great Wolf Lodge location. Whether it’s Starbuck or Dunkin’ Donuts, you won’t have to leave the Lodge for a tasty cup of joe.

These parent-friendly activities at Great Wolf Lodge are just some of the reasons why it’s the perfect vacation for everyone in the family. So enjoy spending time with the little ones while you’re at the Lodge, but don’t be afraid to sneak in that R&R when you can.
