Our two-year program allows you to complete 4 challenging 6-month rotations each in a wide variety of hospitality disciplines, allowing you to sample a little bit of everything a career with Great Wolf Lodge could entail. You will be placed in a supervisor or manager role at a lodge with measurable goals and objectives for each assignment.

Process

Through a combination of hands-on experiences, structured learning and coaching MDP Associates will be exposed to a broad array of disciplines. Upon successful completion of the MDP program, MDP Associates are expected to move into Management and Director level roles.

We will begin accepting applications on September 1.

Rotations Assigned

The Management Development Program participants will be invited to visit the Great Wolf Lodge corporate office in Chicago for a fun meet-and-greet event and to receive their first rotational assignment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I guaranteed a director-level role after completing the program?
After a successful completion of the program, participants will be placed into a key leadership role at one of our Great Wolf Lodge resorts.
Are the rotations all done at one lodge location?
Each lodge is unique based on its geographical location, size, and features offered. Participants will have the opportunity to work at 2-4 different lodges during their program. This type of exposure will be key to accelerating their career with the Great Wolf Lodge brand. Great Wolf Lodge will provide participants with relocation assistance for each new lodge assignment.
Will participants get to pick their assignments?
Each program participant’s assignments will be curated to meet their individual career goals. The assignments will be designed to stretch, challenge, and accelerate their growth, while also taking into consideration their personal preferences.
How many students are selected for the program each year?
Great Wolf targets to hire 15 graduating college seniors into the program each year. This means at any point in time there will be 30 pack leaders in our Management Development Program. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will join a network of Management Development Program alumni.
What type of training will I receive through this program?
Through a combination of hands-on experiences, structured learning, and coaching, participants will be exposed to a broad array of disciplines and leadership styles. Participants will experience a learning journey that will develop them as effective and strategic leaders in the entertainment and hospitality industry.
