Yes there is an area for the younger set that is nicely separated from the other attractions. This prevents the older kids from knocking over the younger ones. My honest opinion is that I think 5 mos is a bit young to go and enjoy the GWL. If you are taking older siblings than I would say go and enjoy. If not I might wait until your little one is a little older.
