Unfortunatly, when we take our trip there I will not be able to do any of the water activities.. can I still go and just watch my kids play
Hi Cindy, Absolutely you can go into the waterpark and not swim. They've got lots of chairs and tables to relax, and you will see plenty of parents just watching or reading a book or something. Enjoy your stay! Ericka
Are wetsuits (rubber suits with covered z ippers on the back) allowed at great wolf lodge?
There are no rules prohibiting wetsuits at the Lodge. My kids wore the floating wetsuits in the pool at the Lodge when they were younger. Have Fun!
Do they give us towels?
Yes, colored towels are supplied at the waterpark, to differentiate them from the towels supplied in the hotel rooms. I like to use the towels that are fresh out of the dryer...lol Regards,
Hi there, we are a family of 6 and our children range in ages from 7years - 6mths. I am worried that we will not get the full value with our stay....Do they allow our 6mth old to do anything with us???
Carrie, There is PLENTY your 6-month-old can do with your family. Chipmunk Cove is a shallow pool with 4 waterslides that your children over 36 inches tall can ride. Often there are infants in this pool sitting and splashing away! Rainbow Lake is a zero-depth entry wave pool. The waves are on every 12 minutes. Crystal River is a lazy river that you can use with or without a tube. The Wooly Mammoth is a waterslide that the whole family can go down together (provided your 6 month old can sit up on his/her own). Scan your wristband up top before you go down the slide and you can view and purchase pictures at the concierge desk. In the summer Loon Lagoon, an outdoor pool, is open. They have a small waterslide the littles ones enjoy. You can take your baby down to Cub Club where they have some toys your baby can play with while your older children play and do crafts. You will not be able to leave your baby at Cub Club unattended, however there is in-room baby-sitting for a fee. Another thing your family can share together is Story Time. That is one of my favorite activities!! Come to the lobby in your jammies to hear the animals and listen to stories read by staff. The staff reading the story are always so entertaining! They are excellent with the children, and they all have a great time! One of the nice things about Great Wolf is that there are a variety of activities that children of all ages can enjoy. Enjoy your Great Wolf stay! Kim
Just wondering if the kiddie area is separate from the area with the big slides? If so, how far away are they? I am going with two children one 37 inches tall the other 49 inches tall. Wondering how much family time we will actually get!
There is a bridge connecting the Fort MacKenzie splash area and the Kiddie Slides. Both areas are toddler friendly, and I find that families move back and forth between these sections. The Crystal River is also designed for families, parents and children can ride together on small and large tubes. The big slides for older children require giong up stairs to enter the rides. The lines are not too long but are separated from the kiddie areas. I usually go on a few slides with my older kids and then meet my wife with the younger ones in Rainbow or Otter Lake. Have Fun!
