Lodge Refurbishment at Pocono Mountains

We are preparing some exciting new enhancements for the Great Wolf Lodge in the Pocono Mountains, and guests visiting our resort over the next several months are likely to see some construction underway. The project we are undertaking represents the single largest investment made to our Pocono Mountains resort since its grand opening. We know our guests will be excited about these new developments, however, we still have a little more work to do before we can share details on what’s coming to Great Wolf Lodge Pocono Mountains. We hope to have a more formal announcement in Spring 2022 on the new guest experiences coming.

In the meantime, while the refurbishment is underway, we are making every effort to ensure the construction being done does not affect the experience for our current resort guests. We are committed to providing our guests with timely and transparent updates if there is any work planned that may affect the guest experience at the lodge.

Below are some examples of planned construction work.

Room Balconies Unavailable Until January 2022

We are completing an exterior improvement project on the roof and siding that is underway and scheduled for completion in early 2022. The focus of the work is exclusively on the exterior portions of the building, so the only inconveniences guests may encounter during this refurbishment period are:

  • Inability to access the outdoor balcony portion of their room
  • Potential need to use alternate building entrances
  • Some incremental noise during the scheduled work hours of 9:00 am and 8:00 pm

All other resort amenities will be accessible to our guests, including:

  • Indoor water park
  • Attractions
  • Entertainment offerings
  • Eateries/Restaurants
  • Retail outlets
  • Any other public spaces inside the lodge

Additionally, we will increase the accessibility to communal outdoor smoking areas to compensate for room balconies being unavailable.

MagiQuest Interactive Game Closed Sept. 13-Oct. 20

The mystical interactive adventure game, MagiQuest, is going to be unavailable to guests from September 13 through October 20, 2021. We are excited to share that during this temporary closure of the game, we are completely replacing the existing version of MagiQuest with an all-new, fully reimagined version of the game.

Scheduled to debut on October 21, 2021, this updated version of MagiQuest features an epic new story, updated gameplay, and enhanced graphics and music. Additionally, players will discover new characters to befriend, as well as new villains to battle. Importantly, guests will be able to use wands purchased during current or previous stays to play the updated version of the game when it debuts.

Select Water Slides Closed Sept. 24-Oct. 5

We are completing some necessary maintenance that will require us to close the Double Barrel Drop, River Canyon Run, and Hydro Plunge water slides from September 24 through October 5, 2021. The maintenance is scheduled to be completed on October 5, with the slides scheduled to reopen for guests on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. While these three slides will be unavailable, all other pools, slides, and water features at the indoor water park, with the exception of the North Hot Springs, will be open and fully available to our guests.

North Hot Springs Closed Until Oct. 8

The North Hot Springs adult-only hot tub will be closed for renovations until October 8, 2021. Parents and their pups can use the South Hot Springs, our family hot tub, while this renovation is underway.
