Face Coverings Guidelines

As part of our Paw Pledge Program, it is mandatory that all Great Wolf Lodge guests ages 5 and older wear a face covering while visiting our resorts. Guests must wear a face covering in all public areas of the resort with few exceptions, including:

  • When actively eating or drinking, as long as stationary and maintaining appropriate physical distancing from other guests.
  • While swimming or actively enjoying the water park attractions.
  • When visiting outdoor areas where proper physical distancing from non-household members is easy to achieve and maintain.

Acceptable Types of Face Coverings

Acceptable face coverings must have at least two layers, fully cover the nose and mouth, secure under the chin, and fit snuggly along the sides of the face. A face covering should secure using ear loops, ties, or tension or elastic bands and not require the use of hands to hold in place.

Types of Face Coverings Not Allowed at Great Wolf Lodge:

  • Face masks with exhalation valves
  • Face coverings made with mesh material
  • Cloth bandanas
  • Veils
  • Costume masks

Improper Face Covering Use

We are deeply committed to safeguarding our guests and pack members while at our resort, and greatly appreciate our guests’ support of our face covering policy, as well as all other protocols in place with our Paw Pledge Program.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring a mask with me, or is one provided?

To ensure a proper-fitting face covering that covers the mouth, nose, and fits snuggly around the chin, we strongly recommend guests bring a face covering from home. If you forget to bring a face covering to the resort, you can obtain one complimentary from the front desk or other select locations in the resort. We also offer Great Wolf Lodge-branded cloth masks in various sizes for sale at our retail outlets.

What about gaiters?

Yes, we allow gaiters as long as they have two layers of fabric, or can be folded to provide two layers of coverage over the nose and mouth area. All face coverings must fully cover the nose and mouth, secure under the chin, and fit snuggly along the sides of the face.

Do I need to wear a face covering in my room?

No, face coverings are required only in the public areas of the resort. Face coverings are not required in the privacy of your room.

What about medical exemptions?

For the health and safety of all our guests and pack members, we require any guests with a medical condition unable to wear a face mask to wear a face shield while in the designated public areas of our resort. While we prefer guests to bring a face shield from home to ensure proper fit, we do have shields for sale at cost at the resort.
