Today, we&#8217;re looking into how we can use these understated utensils to make pretty little snowflakes!<\/p>\n<p>This project will help brighten any room with a pop of color during the cold, snowy months. It&#8217;s also a great way to break up the time spent at home during the cold winter months. Keep reading for instructions on how to create your own coffee filter snowflakes!<\/p>\n<p><em>Materials Needed:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7228\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greatwolf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/GWL_Snowflake_600x400.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coffee Filter<\/li>\n<li>Washable Markers<\/li>\n<li>Eye Dropper<\/li>\n<li>1 Cup Water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Flatten your coffee filter on a hard surface.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Create a colorful pattern using your markers. Remember, the less white space is left, the more vibrant your snowflake will appear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Add a few droplets of water to the coffee filter using your eyedropper. Spread it around to wet the entire surface, but don&#8217;t go overboard. The wetter it gets, the longer it will take to dry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Let dry overnight. You can also dry them in the oven using low heat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> Fold the coffee filter in half. Fold again, about 1\/3 of the way over. Fold again so that all the edges are lined up. Fold once more to create a triangle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6:<\/strong> Begin cutting pieces out of the folded coffee filter. Don&#8217;t be afraid to get creative here. You can cut out half hearts, circles, diamonds, and more. The more elaborate your design, the more unique your snowflake will be.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 7:<\/strong> Unfold, and enjoy your creation! You can showcase your art by hanging it from the ceiling using a paperclip and some string.
