Frequently Asked Questions
I am looking into visiting GWL for the first time with my family. My concern is the ages of my kids. I know that my 7 year-old will enjoy it, but am wondering if there is enough to entertain my 3 year-old given the cost. We will primarily do the water
Thanks for your question Elizabeth! We have been taking my kids there since they were as young as 18 months and each time, they get to try something new! My three boys are now almost 7, 5 1/2 and almost 4 - and we still go at least twice a year! Your 7 year old will love it! Depending on his/her height and adventure level, they will may be able to do just about everything there! As for the 3 year old, there will be plenty for him/her to enjoy also. There is a great interactive toddler area with two really small water slides for those a bit more cautious in the water. Fort McKenzie is a lot of fun too. My youngest will go all through it, under dumping buckets, climbing nets etc. He just wasn't quite ready for those water slides the last time we went, so he would just climb back down another way. He loves the crooked creek which is the lazy river. It is not very deep and your 3 year old may be able to touch - this is a great place for them to get more comfortable in deeper water. The wave pool is also great. It gradually gets deeper and the little ones can go as far as they are comfortable. As for activities outside the water park, magiquest is still a big hit. Your 7 year old may really get into the game. For the 3 year old, I would suggest just buying the wand and not necessarily the game. The wand without the game will still activate twinkle lights throughout the restaurants and will make some of the lobby animals move and talk. There is something for everyone and I am sure your whole family will love it!
Is the MagiQuest game worth purchasing for two girls, ages 9 and 6?
This will really depend upon your girls and their level of interest in playing the game, but a good suggestion I find is to purchase one wand with some game time initially and see which of the two (or both) really gets into it. Our kids were addicted from minute one and we quickly had to purchase another wand and game so they wouldn't have to share, but you can always put forth the minimal investment first to see if it catches on with them. I'm sure they'll have a blast!
