Frequently Asked Questions
My family has never been, but we are planning a trip to Great Wolf Lodge in April on my teenager's spring break. I know there are tons of things for the teens to do but I'm wondering will there be other things besides the pool to occupy my 2-year-old?
Hi Kelly, Great Question! Your 2-year-old is in for a treat as Cub Club caters their activities for children. Cub Club (on the first level) offers staff supervised fun activities including age appropriate arts and crafts projects. When my little ones were this age, they enjoyed the activities and interacting with other little one's like themselves. When you check in, the receptionist will give you an activity guide, schedule, and price list for the various activities that Cub Club has to offer. Remember to listen out for when the clock strikes 8, there is an evening animated Clock Tower Show in the lobby. Your little one is sure to appreciate winding down to Story Time at the end of a fun-filled day. Spring Break adventure awaits you!
We have never been to Great Wolf Lodge, and will soon be visiting for less than one day. What are the "must-dos" for our eight-year-old daughter at the Williamsburg Lodge? She is a tomboy and loves animals and water.
Well, the good news is this: your 8-year-old is going to have a fantastic time regardless of what she can or can't get to this visit. If she really is a tomboy and enjoys a lot of physical activity, keep her busy in the waterpark with the Flow Rider surfing simulator, the sports-themed activity pool (features water basketball, obstacle course, and more), and definitely let her ride it out on all the great waterslides. If you think she'll be fine with a more intense water thrill ride, taking her on the Howlin' Tornado is a must (just be forewarned that she may want to go again and again). Thoroughly exploring Great Wolf's waterpark on your first visit is generally the smartest thing to do. Just keep in mind that there are tons of activities that she might also enjoy throughout the Lodge, should she need a break from all that water action. Some of the age-appropriate activities you can get more information about when you go are Great Wolf's gr_8_space, MagiQuest, Cub Club (features art & crafts and a variety of different activities), not to mention Story Time at the Great Clock Tower. You mentioned also that she likes animals. If she's a big fan of the stuffed variety then you can also drop by the Buckhorn Exchange gift shop where they have a wide variety of critters for stuffing and their own unique stuffing station. These make a great first visit souvenir. Let me know if you have any other questions and have a fabulous time!
