Frequently Asked Questions
I have small children (under age six). Are there enough activities for them at the Lodge, or are most off-limits for such young children?
I can't think of hardly anything that your little ones would be excluded from inside the waterpark, save the Howlin' Tornado (which they may still be able to ride; it depends on their size) and the adults-only hot tub. I've had friends' children who were with me when they were very small and I really believe the Lodge is ideal for them as there are a lot of activities and waterpark options for them, but at the same time not so much walking or activity changing that it gets overwhelming. They will most likely love Cub Club if they're into arts and crafts at all. Story Time is very cool. The Northern Lights Arcade is a big hit with everyone due to its sheer variety, and there's a ton of other options from there for you to consider. But they will most likely be completely infatuated with the waterpark that first day, which will be great for you as you get acclimated to the Lodge and its surroundings. No worries! They're going to have a fantastic time!
Do kids get bored easily?
Hey, Tanya. To answer your question in a word- NO! If your kids love swimming and water rides, not to mention mini golf, interactive games (MagiQuest), gaming centers (gr8_space), a kid spa, arcades, and stations that inspire imagination and creativity (Cub Club & Race Zone), your kids will be anything but bored. On our first few trips our kids were absolutely enthralled with the waterpark the entire time. I mean, how cool is an indoor waterpark after all? Our kids couldn't even imagine what it looked like and they couldn't stop exploring once we got there. And if they do get tired of the water eventually, there's still tons of stuff to do, all under one roof! Which is so nice when you're accustomed to having to plan out separate activities at various locations and all the travel arrangements while on vacation. It's one of the biggest reasons we love the Lodge so much. It's a total crowd pleaser across the board!
