Food and service at the onsite bar and grill called Camp Kritter was better than I imagined! I was amazed at the taste/ quality of the food. Portions were large and selection was excellent. The free wolf ears for the kids were a hit (my son wore them to preschool as soon as we got home). The Bear Paw sweet shop was a delicious treat in the evening - adults were delighted that they offered Starbucks coffee and espresso drinks (mocha!) and kids loved the amazing selection of donuts, cookies, caramel apples, cupcakes, ice cream, etc. If you want it, they've got it! The Bear Essentials swim shop had a very nice selection of merchandise for kids and adults (bathing suits, Crocs, etc), and the Buckhorn Exchange gift shop off the lobby was awesome. They had one of a kind items to help remember your trip. There was no reason (or desire) to leave the resort, which is shocking considering the destination around us in Traverse City!
