Is this a good place for a 2 or 3 year olds? What is there for them to do?
Great question Bobbie! Great Wolf Lodge is an exciting place for 2 and 3 year olds! My boys are 2.5 and 4 and they absolutely love the toddler area with the zero-entry pool and small slide! They also like to climb Fort MacKenzie and hang out in the family area of the Manitoba Tubs! For the more adventurous 2 and 3 year olds, there is Whooping Hollow which is an exciting slide just for kids! There are many other activities outside of the water park that my little ones enjoy, including the Cub Club and Story Time in the lobby. Enjoy your stay! HOWLS! Kristen
Hi Tara, You are the only Ask-a-Mom panelist who has children close to my daughter's age. My daughter is 11-months-old, and I was wondering what your 10-month-old twins did while you were there? Is there enough to keep an infant this age active?
Hi Jen! Our twins had a blast their first trip to Great Wolf Lodge. We spent most of our time in the "kiddie pool" area where the kids enjoyed splashing and stomping in the shallow water, turning the buckets over and standing under the waterspouts. The Great Wolf Lodge staff does an excellent job making sure the little ones have their own designated area and that "big kids" are directed to another area. When we needed a break from the kiddie area, we enjoyed a float down the Crooked Creek Lazy River (our daughter actually fell asleep on her daddy's chest). When it was time to get out of the water we went to Story Time, the Great Clock Tower Show (they loved the talking animals) and a trip through the Grand Lobby looking at all of the "pretty" things. The lobby makes an excellent place to explore and lots of room to crawl/walk. The Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City has a Cub Club recommended for children 5-12. This club offers arts and craft for the older children. However, I found that they have stuffed animals, books, nature toys and lots of great things to look at and explore for very young children. Our twins were very tired at the end of the day. There is plenty of things for very young children to see and do to keep them active and engaged. Have a wonderful time! Tara
Nightly Story Time is a great way to end of your day of play at Great Wolf Lodge. Wear your pajamas and enjoy favorite bedtime stories by the fireplace in the Grand Lobby. Stay afterwards and snap a photo with Wiley or Violet while you give them a high-paw.
Come and explore with us! Wolf Walk is a nature hike where kids and families learn to howl together. Take a morning walk around our Grand Lobby and learn about the many animals of the Northwood. Everyone will enjoy making a souvenir origami wolf!
Don't miss the Great Clock Tower friends as they come to life in the Grand Lobby!
Show Times: 10:00 a.m., 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
