Is there much to do with our 6 month old and our 2.5 year old?
Hi Greg, You will be quite surprised as there is a ton of things to do with your 2.5 year old and 6 month old! Inside the waterpark, they can enjoy Cub Paw Pool which is a kiddie pool with slides. Our 2 year old went down those slides soo many times we lost count. They also may enjoy going through Fort Mackenzie and they could always sit on your lap as you go through the Crooked Creek (lazy river). Outside the waterpark, our kids loved to explore the Lodge, go to the Great Clock Tower show and to Club Cub. Club Cub offers toys, games and activities that suite different age levels. I know that they will have a blast and there will be plenty of things to keep them busy and happy!
Are all locations the same or do they have different features?
Tammy, This is a great question! Each Great Wolf Lodge location varies slightly. For example, the Sandusky and Mason lodges both have Alberta Falls which are large slides that you ride in a inner tube down, Fort MacKenzie which is a four story interactive tree house with a 1,000 gallon bucket that tips to drench all tree house guests, they both also have a lazy river ride and areas geared only toward smaller guests. The Mason locations offers some other water attractions that are not available at the Sandusky location which include The Hydro Plunge which is a water roller coaster, River Canyon Run is a slide the entire family can enjoy together in a large raft, and the Triple Twist is a five-story drop into a huge funnel followed by twists. The Mason location also offers Elements Spa and Scooops Kid Spa. The Sandusky location does not have an adult or kids spa. Both locations offer a Story Time and the Great Clock Tower show which is worth attending. Both locations also have Northern Lights Arcades and the Cub Club and they are great dry activities offered at the lodge. Although each location is slightly different they each offer a lot of variety and fun!
If you get pass to the water park to go swimming then leave for a couple hours, can you use them to get back into the water park? Also I have a 1-year-old, is it even worth bring him or should I just wait until he is older?
Hi Amanda, Yes, you may use the waterpark as early as 1:00 PM on the day of check-in until close on the day of departure. I think it's worth bringing your 1-year-old, because GWL allows all children ages 2 years and younger to use the waterpark absolutely free. There is also a separate zero-depth entry pool area with kiddie slides for smaller children and there are life jackets available onsite for your youngster. Take a ride along the lazy river together and don't forget to visit Cub Club, Story Time and the animated show at the Great Clock Tower! Enjoy!
Nightly Story Time is a great way to end of your day of play at Great Wolf Lodge. Wear your pajamas and enjoy favorite bedtime stories by the fireplace in the Grand Lobby. Stay afterwards and snap a photo with Wiley or Violet while you give them a high-paw.
Come and explore with us! Wolf Walk is a nature hike where kids and families learn to howl together. Take a morning walk around our Grand Lobby and learn about the many animals of the Northwood. Everyone will enjoy making a souvenir origami wolf!
Don't miss the Great Clock Tower friends as they come to life in the Grand Lobby!
Show Times: 10:00 a.m., 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
