I am planning on taking my grandchildren this year. Two do not swim and they are 8 and 5 is it safe for them to do the above 48" rides

Hi Betty, Great Wolf Lodge provides Coast Guard approved life jackets for guests on a first come first serve basis. They are available in a variety of sizes, and can be worn on all the attractions in the water park. Guests are welcome to use their own life jackets as well as long as they are Coast Guard approved...Have a great time! Dawn

Hi Theresa, Room rates are often cheaper during the week if you are looking to save money. As far as the water park, any day is great to visit! Since the park is only open to guests of Great Wolf, the lines are never too long! Have a great time! Dawn

Are children allowed floatation devices around the indoor water park? I was interested in knowing if they could wear the floatation devices and also if they could sit in an innertube while in the pool area?

There are life vests provided in the water park. Young children and weak swimmers are recommended to wear a vest while playing in the water park. Flotation devices such as water wings are not allowed in the water park. There are tubes available for use in the wave pool, lazy river and the water slides.

I have an 9yr old daughter and a 6yr old son. I was wondering what would be fun fun for all of us to do together?? Please help..

Hi Nicole,There is so much to do together at the GWL. Family Fun is what it's all about! You can go on the slides together, the wave pool, the lazy river, play magi-quest, take a wolf walk,watch a movie.. the lis is endless. There is lots to do together at the GWL and you're sure to have a good time.Enjoy.Debbie

How deep is the outside pool and wave pool in the Poconos, PA location? Can 15 year olds swim in it or are they too big? Can adults swim in it? Is the resort too childish for teens? Thank you.

Hi Cheryl Lets start with the outdoor pool. The deepest part of the outdoor pool is 4 feet. It isn't really made for swimming, more for splashing and playing. The older kids can play water basketball although I notice more of the teenagers playing basketball in Chinook cove. The wave pool is a bit deeper at 6 feet in the deep end. It is a alot of fun when the waves are on...for everyone including mom and dad. While the resort is geared toward the younger (6-10yr old ) set, children of all ages can have fun. We recently took a team trip to the GWL and I have to say the teenagers had as much if not more fun than some of the younger kids. The biggest requirement is to love to play in the water!

Is there a fee to use the life jackets and can you reserve these ahead of time?

Hi Stacy, In answer to your question the life preservers are available at no charge. You cannot reserve them in advance but they are always readily available. If you are uncomfortable with that, have someone in your family go to the waterpark first thing when they open and get your life jacket. Then you will have it for the time you are in the waterpark. Can you bring waterproof cameras into the pools and other areas of the waterpark?

Hi Stacy, In answer to your question, you may bring waterproof and regular cameras into the water park areas at your risk. Everyone is always taking pictures! There are lockers you can rent to store it when you are finished with it. Have fun. Debbie
