Is it OK and safe for kids aged 13 & up to explore the park & Lodge by themselves? I will be there at all times but I have a 4 yr old & 2 teens. My older kids want to have some time to themselves including going on rides the 4 yr old can't.
Hi Stacy, As long as you feel comfortable, I see no reason why your teens can't explore GWL on their own. I suggest establishing a meeting place and bringing cell phones to check in...Safety regulations require that all children under the age of 18 be supervised by an adult in the waterpark at all times, which should not be a problem if you are there with your younger child. Your teens may enjoy the Kids Spa, Northern Lights Arcade and /gr8_space during their visit. Have fun! Dawn
Explore Fun Activities at Great Wolf Lodge
Throughout the Great Wolf Lodge Pocono Mountains, PA, you’ll find a range of activities that will keep you and your children active and entertained for hours. Whether you’re rushing down the water slides or hanging out with Wiley the Wolf at Story Time, Great Wolf Lodge has something for everyone.
Entire Family
Every aspect of Great Wolf Lodge was designed for families, and almost every activity is good for everybody. Our rides are exciting, but even grandpa could give most of them a go. From waterslides and Story Time to huge arcades to MagiQuest, there are activities in every direction. And somehow, the experience pulls your family together.
Children
A trip to Great Wolf Lodge is certain to make you a hero in the eyes of your 4 to 12 year-old. And when their teacher assigns the essay, "What I Did on My Vacation," the huge roster of age-appropriate activities will give them tons to write about. Plus, they'll probably still be wearing their waterpark wristband for show and tell.
Toddlers
You call them toddlers - we call them Wolf Pups. Either way, we challenge you to find another resort as tot-friendly as Great Wolf Lodge. From Story Time in the Grand Lobby to complimentary use of life jackets in the waterpark, we've made sure that even the smallest member of your pack is in on the fun.
Teens / Tweens
They may be too cool for school, but not for Great Wolf Lodge. But there's nothing cooler than lounging on rafts in a lazy river with your friends, or playing video games in a special tech center designed exclusively for them. It may just be the only time all year you won't hear the words, "I'm bored."
