My husband and I are planning on taking our sons here for a weekend trip over the summer and are just trying to find out what other expenses for activities are not covered with our room/waterpark passes. I know there is an arcade which obviously is not pai
Hi Elizabeth, Besides the Northern Lights Arcade like you said, there is Ten Paw Alley, a small bowling alley, Cub Club crafts & activities (some are no charge), MagiQuest (Interactive Wand Game), Story Explorers for younger children, gr8_space for teens. It may benefit you to purchase a Paw Pass- it saves some money. Check it out on the web site at www.greatwolf.com and after you make your booking you will be asked if you want to add any addition al packages to your room such as meals etc... Have fun.Debbie
IS THERE A BALL PIT?
Hi Chrissi, Hi- The Poconio Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos does not have a ball pit, but there are so many attractions there that I don't think you'll miss it. The water attractions will keep everyone busy, besides other dry attractions, such as Northern Lights Arcade, Magi-Quest (interactive wand game), Story Explorer, Cub-Club etc. Check out all the activities at www.greatwolf.com to see what GWL offers for children and adults of any age. Have fun. Debbie G. (PS I answered this question on 2/8/12)
I AM A SINGLE MOM OF TWO TEENS AGES 16 AND 17 WOULD THEY LIKE THIS PLACE?
Hi Al, I think Great Wolf is a great place for teens! If they love the water, they will have a great time on the water slides, in the wave pool and relaxing in the lazy river. The Northern Lights arcade is a very popular spot for teens, as well as Gr8_space whcih is designed for their age group...Here they will find internet access, Wii, X-box and playstation. If you have girls, the spa offers special packages. Have a great trip! Dawn
I have a 14 year old and he loves the water and wolves. Other then the waterpark are there any activities for his age range? And are there real wolves there so he could see them?
Hi Brenda, There are a few activities that fit his age range. The first one that comes to mind is Gr8_space. This has plenty for a teenager: video games, computers, iPod docking stations, movies and dance parties. Gr8_space was designed to offer the teenagers something dry to do. There is also Northern Lights arcade which has plenty of arcade games to play. If your son is into remote control racing, there is race zone, which has a track to race either a "rented" car or you can build your own. I am sorry to say that there are no real wolves on the property. There is a program called the Wolf Walk which teaches the children about wolves but there are no real ones to look at.
Is Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos a great place for my son to celebrate his 17th birthday?
Hi Melvenia - Great Wolf Loge is a place for all ages to have fun! Besides the water park itself, which is tons of fun for young and old and everyone in between, GWL Poconos recently opened up a place for teens called gr8_space Tech Center which offers teens gaming stations on systems such as Wii, X-Box 360, Nintendo & Playstation 3. They offer movies, the latest music and videos. They even have teen-only internet access and docking stations for iPpods and mp3 players. There is also the Northern Lights Arcade center which offers every arcade game imaginable, even the dancing ones! It really is fun. I must admit I tried it myself and couldn't keep up with the music! I think it's a great place for your son's 17th birthday! GWL also offers birthday packages. Check it out on the website for lots of detailed information. By the way, happy birthday to your son! If you decide to celebrate at GWL, it will be a memorable one! Debbie G. GWL Panelist
If kids designed your family room, it would probably look something like this. The bright lights of our sprawling, family-friendly arcade is packed with a variety of games designed to bring out the inner child in everyone. Plus, we've included exciting games of skill for the older kids, as well as fun games of chance for the little ones, meaning everyone can redeem tickets for prizes.
