I have a 8-year-old, 6-year-old and a 6-month-old. Should I bring the 6-month-old on the trip or try to get a relative (my mother probably) to take him for the weekend?
Hi, Tammy! The Great Wolf Lodge does not provide childcare. Depending on the height of your older children, they may need adult chaperones for some of the water slides. You can check specific height requirements on the website, just go to http://www.greatwolf.com/mason/safety. If you bring your 6-month-old along, while there will be appropriate water activities in the park, the older ones may want to be off doing other bigger kid things that require your attention as well. For a 8 and 6 year old, it might be difficult to be patient when there is so much to see and do! Even with two parents, juggling three in that circumstance may be a bit challenging. When we brought our infant nephew along (3 adults, 5 children - ages 7, 5, 5, 3 and infant), we really needed one adult with him all the time. Honestly, when it was my turn, it was a bit frustrating.....the rest of the group was off doing older kid stuff and it was just too difficult to keep up with them with an infant in my arms. I am confident the Lodge can accomodate your 6-month-old, supervision will be your biggest concern. It may be wise to leave the little one with grandma. Tough call!!
We are going to visit the Mason Great Wolf Lodge. We have five children ages 14, 11, 3, 3, and 1. Will my one year old be able to enjoy himself like the others?
I think there will be plenty of fun to be had for your one year old, Leigh Ann! While the waves may be a little rough in the Slap Tail Pond, the cool water spouts at the shore of this pool are a favorite of the little ones. There is also a separate zero-depth entry pool area with kiddie slides for smaller children. Your one year old may be able to enjoy this area. I love that the lodge has life jackets available for your youngster! The Cub Club may provide some fun activities for your little one too. Story Time and the animated "Rhythm of Nature" show at the Great Clock Tower will probably also be a hit with your youngster!
Explore Children Activities at Great Wolf Lodge
Your children will love all that we have to offer at the Cincinnati-Mason lodge, from the kiddie slides to interactive games. With so much to do, they will have stories upon stories to share from their adventures at Great Wolf Lodge.
Fort Mackenzie™
We've turned splashing into an adventure at Fort Mackenzie, our 4-story interactive tree house in the center of our 84 degree indoor water park. Adventure through suspension bridges, swinging cargo nets, treetop slides and soaking spray stations. If that doesn't get you drenched, just wait for our 1,000-gallon bucket to tip from the treetops.
Hydro Plunge™
Roller coaster meets waterslide. Let the motorized track hoist you and your dare devils to the precipice of a waterslide with a 52-foot vertical drop. (It's as awesome as it sounds, and one of its kind in the U.S.)
River Canyon Run™
Pack the entire family into a raft and together take one of the park's signature slides.
Alberta Falls™
Alberta Falls is four stories of fun. Twist in and out of the Lodge before dropping into the plunge pool. (Don't worry, the tube is enclosed so there's no temperature change!)
Slap Tail Pond™
With waves up to 3 feet tall, you'll think you're in the ocean. Grab an inner tube or let the surf take you to "shore". Waves come in 5-minute intervals. The gigantic wave pool also features zero-depth entry and goes up to 5 feet deep.
Chinook Cove™ Activity Pool
Get into the hoopla with a little water basketball with the kids. Let them test their balance along a floating activity or just goof around (safely, of course!) in this activity pool.
Big Foot Pass™
This agility challenge keeps kids busy for hours, as they practice their balance and cheer on their friends. Little kids learn to jump from lily pad to lily pad, while the older ones use the netting above to guide themselves across. One false step and ... splash.
Totem Towers™
These twin three-story slides offer the fastest (not to mention, funfilled) escape route out of the Fort Mackenzie tree house.
Whooping Hollow™
For the "48 inches and under" set, we offer a kiddie slide that the little ones will want to try again and again and again.
North and South Hot Springs™
Find an oasis of relaxation in our jumbo warming pools. Find one for adults 21 and older and another for the whole family.
Crooked Creek™
Buddy up or go solo. Just let the current sweep you along the endless, winding lazy river.
Raccoon Lagoon™
Raccoon Lagoon Outdoor Pool area ranges from zero-depth entry to four feet and includes water basketball, kiddie activities, floor geysers and spray features, as well as heated water. There is a patio area with tables and chairs so you can relax in the sun. Typically open Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, weather permitting. Hours vary.

So after a day of merrily zipping down the biggest waterslides, they’ll be happily rolling five-pound balls down kid-sized lanes. And actually hitting pins.
Compass Quest™
For the Master Magi in your pack, Compass Quest unlocks a whole new layer of MagiQuest. A hi-tech compass leads players on an interactive way finding journey, unveiling nine new quests in this next-generation game of magic, mystery and discovery.
