Would it be fun for a four year old boy?
Absolutely, Elisha! Great Wolf Lodge would be fun for a 4-year-old boy! There are height requirements for several of the slides that you will want to be aware of. You can check the height restrictions for each ride on the Great Wolf Web site (look under Guest Services, FAQs, Safety Guidelines). He can certainly enjoy the Whooping Hollow Kiddie Slides and the Totem Towers (slides that provide an exit from Fort Macenzie). If he enjoys those, then you can also accompany him on Alberta Falls, River Canyon Run (the family slide), and Coyote Canyon. These rides require guests to be 42 inches or accompanied by an adult. Of course, there are other water attractions for him to enjoy, such as the Crooked Creek (Lazy River) and Slap Tail Pond Wave Pool. If he is not a skilled swimmer, be sure to get him one of the complimentary life jackets (located at the entrance of the waterpark) before enjoying these attractions. Also, the wave pool can get overwhelming for little ones. I suggest that you keep a close eye on him in there and probably stay close to the shore where the waves are minimal. Don't forget to take in all the other "dry" kid activities provided at the Lodge! He will love the Clock Tower Show followed by Story Time, a visit to the Cub Club, and perhaps some adult assisted fun playing a game of MagiQuest! What 4-year-old wouldn't enjoy all that?
“Sometimes less is more,” is an approach quietly taken by moms for years.
Keeping this in mind, there was an important fact to consider when designing our new family bowling alley: The majority of our guests stand below four feet tall, meaning we needed a kid-friendly twist to make it fun: We cut the length of the lanes in half. Together with a “one sized ball fits all” approach, and a “No Rental Shoes Allowed” policy, we’re proud to roll-out 6 lanes of this classic American game your whole family can now enjoy.
So after a day of merrily zipping down the biggest waterslides, they’ll be happily rolling five-pound balls down kid-sized lanes and actually hitting pins. And you can smile, knowing that you’re wearing your own shoes.
