I wanted to know more about MagiQuest. What is it and how do you play? Is it worth the money for the wand and the game? I'm taking 2 boys, a 71/2-year-old and a 13-year-old. Thanks.
Well Dawn, if your boys are anything like mine, I think they will have a blast with MagiQuest. \To play the game, you need to purchase a wand. You do not need to decorate it to play, but your kids will ask anyway. The game starts by making you earn runes by following clues. For example, you make have to go find a certain pot of gold or such. As you proceed through the game, you earn the ability to go on adventures that help you earn more points. If you slay the dragon than you are a Maqi-Master. The kids seem to love it. The game lasts the length of your stay and it is a great "dry" activity. The boys can share a wand and game. What is the best thing about staying at the Great Wolf Lodge?
For our family, Bria, the best thing about staying at The Great Wolf Lodge is that there are so many different things to do - all under one roof! You can enjoy the amazing waterpark (it features 12 waterslides and 6 pools), play arcade games at the Northern Lights Arcade, sip on a Starbucks coffee or cocoa while listening to the story at Story Time or watching the animated "Rhythm of Nature" show at the Great Clock Tower, play MagiQuest, get a manicure or pedicure at the Elements Spa Salon, and enjoy crafts and activities at the Cub Club. We also love all the special extra events that are scheduled at the Lodge. For example, getting your picture taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus during the holiday - or even going for a ride in their sleigh! So many special treats are in store for you at the Great Wolf Lodge! It's amazing!
If you stay at Great Wolf Lodge, do you have free unlimited access to MagiQuest? If not , how much does it cost after purchase of the wand?
Great question, Lisa! My girls (ages 10 and 8) LOVE MagiQuest! They will wake up early and opt to play the game first thing in the morning when it's not so busy (there can be lots of questers playing during the evenings!). Anyway, the wands are $14.99 and up and the game play costs $9.99 (I believe you get 4 days of game play for the fee). It's also cool to watch the MagiQuest channel on your room television and see your screen name pop up with your score! My girls got a big kick out of that!
