Is there an additional charge for the story time at the end of the day?
There is no additional charge for Story Time at the Lodge! So, gather the family, put on your coziest pj's and slippers and make sure to be in the lobby at 8:15pm - right by the big fireplace! If you head down a little bit earlier - 8pm - you can enjoy the Clock Tower show as well! Make this tradition a little extra special with a coffee or cocoa from Starbucks or a little bedtime treat from the Bear Claw Sweets and Treats! Enjoy!!
Are day passes available during the off season?
Hi, Sarah! To the best of my knowledge, day passes to the waterpark are not available at the Lodge. The waterpark area is reserved exclusively for the overnight guests of the hotel at all times. Additional wristbands may be purchased for visitors of overnight guests. Several areas of the hotel, however, are open to the public daily. You are welcome to come in and play in the arcade, play a round of MagiQuest or CompassQuest, visit any of the restaurants, and grab a coffee or a cocoa at the Starbucks to enjoy while watching the show at the Great Clock Tower. I hope you get a chance to stop by for a visit!
Does the waterpark have enough activities for a 2-year-old?
I think there will be plenty of fun to be had for your two year old, Stacy! While the waves may be a little rough in the Slap Tail Pond, the cool water spouts at the shore of this pool are a favorite of the little ones. There is also a separate zero-depth entry pool area with kiddie slides for smaller children. I'm certain your two year old will enjoy this area! I love that the lodge has life jackets available for your youngster (they are available right when you enter the waterpark - along with plenty of fresh towels for your day)! The Cub Club provides several fun activities for your little one too. There are several structured crafts and activities for your child (some have a small fee, but others are free) as well as a plethora of games to keep your little one busy when you're taking a break from the waterpark fun. Story Time and the animated "Rhythm of Nature" show at the Great Clock Tower will probably also be a hit with your youngster! Finally, you may want to pick up a MagiQuest wand and give that a try with your toddler. Adult supervision will be required, but the little kids love when you can make animals move and talk throughout the lobby and restaurants with just a wave of the wand! It's magical for them!!
My daughter and I may be taking a trip to visit family and I learned GWL was located in Ohio. My question is, is there anything for a 2-year-old to do at Great Wolf Lodge?
As a mother of a 2 -year-old, I was also concerned that my youngest would not have enough activities to do. Inside the waterpark, there is a kiddie section which has kiddie slides, basketball hoops and areas where the water is not as deep. There are also many items for her to pull and fill, especially in Fort MacKenzie. Outside the waterpark there is Cub Club, where my youngest likes to color and play on the computer. We also love to watch the Great Clock Tower show. I know that you and your 2-year-old will have a ton of fun during your stay at Great Wolf Lodge.
Nightly Story Time is a great way to end of your day of play at Great Wolf Lodge. Wear your pajamas and enjoy favorite bedtime stories by the fireplace in the Grand Lobby. Stay afterwards and snap a photo with Wiley or Violet while you give them a high-paw.
Come and explore with us! Wolf Walk is a nature hike where kids and families learn to howl together. Take a morning walk around our Grand Lobby and learn about the many animals of the Northwood. Everyone will enjoy making a souvenir origami wolf!
Don't miss the Great Clock Tower friends as they come to life in the Grand Lobby!
Show Times: 10:00 a.m., 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
