Reservations

Q Are advanced deposits for reservations required?
A

We require one night’s stay plus tax be paid as an advance deposit to hold the reservation. This can be paid by credit card. If you are making the reservation more than 4 weeks in advance, we can accept a personal check or money order for the deposit. Checks cannot be used as a form of payment at the lodge, only for a deposit.

Q Can I request a particular suite style?
A

Suite style preference must be booked at time of reservation.

Q Can we request a balcony or patio during the reservation process?
A

Balcony/Patio suites can be reserved online by clicking “with Balcony/Patio” on Reservation page. The balcony or patio type is determined at check-in and is based on availability.

Q Do I have to add children under the age of 2 to my reservation?
A

Children under 2 years of age are considered free for access to the water park and lodging, but they are considered occupants in the suite. When setting up a reservation online, we require the number of children under 2 to be listed.

Q Do you accept prepaid cards and debit cards?
A

For prepaid cards, we recommend that you have at least 20% over your payment due in order for our systems to read the cards. Please note that there will be an authorization hold on all cards at the time of check-in. Debit cards are strongly discouraged. The use of a debit card at the time of check-in will initiate an immediate deduction from your bank account for the remaining balance of room & tax for your stay. If you chose to have in-house charging an additional $100 per night will be deducted from your account. Upon checkout any unused funds will be credited back to your account. Based upon the business rules of your bank this may take up to 72 hour or longer to be processed. Great Wolf Lodge is not responsible for overdrafts or fees associated with your debit card.

Q Does the lodge offer a commissionable rate for Travel Agents?
A

Travel agents can receive a commission when reservations are booked through the Reservations Center or a GDS system using their IATA number.

Q How do I reserve an accessible suite?
A

Accessible suites can be reserved online by clicking on the "Show Accessible Suites" check box on Reservations page. Or you can contact the reservations department directly to reserve an accessible suite. We will be able to offer a variety of options to meet your needs!

Q How secure is the website when I'm booking online?
A

Q What is the cancellation policy?
A

When bad weather or a family member’s sickness inhibits you from your travel plans we will gladly rebook your getaway. However, If you cancel your reservation you will be refunded your deposit less a $40 processing fee so long as you cancel more than 72 hours prior to your arrival date. If your plans change at the last minute (or anytime within 72 hours of arrival), call us and we’ll try to rebook your trip for different dates. You would only forfeit your deposit if we couldn’t rebook your getaway at all. You are subject to the best available rate on these new dates.

Q What is the minimum age requirement to confirm a reservation?
A

Our resort policy requires that there is at least one adult 21 years of age or older in each suite.

Q What is the resort fee?
A

Great Wolf Resorts charges a nominal resort fee to all guests in order to provide additional services that are often charged individually by other resorts. This fee covers services such as wireless internet, wolf ears for kids, parking, daily newspaper, fitness center access, towels in the water park, access to fax, local phone calls, and a concierge service!

Q When do I need to fill out a credit card authorization form?
A

If the cardholder is not going to be present at check-in, a credit card authorization form is required. Click here to download the credit card authorization form.

Q Why is there a maximum occupancy in the suites?
A

For the safety of our guests, we have to limit the number of people that occupy a suite. At Great Wolf Lodge, we do offer certain suites that can accommodate a maximum of 8 people. Infants are free of charge for water park access and lodging, but they are counted as an occupant in a suite.

Pre Arrival

Q Do you have RV parking and hookups?
A

Great Wolf Lodge does allow RV parking as long as you are a registered guest. We do not offer any hook ups or dumping stations.

Q What can I do if someone gets sick before we arrive?
A

Q What items should I bring on my trip?
A

Veteran guests recommend a few essentials for the Great Wolf Lodge experience:

  • Swimsuit/cover-up
  • Plastic bag to carry wet suits home
  • Swim goggles, earplugs, flip flops and aqua socks
  • Waterproof watch
  • Exercise clothing
  • Reading materials
  • Warm PJ’s/slippers to wear to Story Time

We provide towels in the water park area. If you’re not swimming, you may still wish to bring comfortable clothing for our 84-degree water park area.

Q Am I able to charge things back to my room?
A

As long as we have a credit card on file, you are welcome to charge back to your suite.

Q Are pets allowed? Service animals?
A

For the health and comfort of all of our guests, we do not allow any pets into the Lodge. If you would like information on a full service kennel in the Kansas City area, select the link below. Service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed in all areas of the resort. For the health and safety of our guests, service animals are not allowed in the pools and attractions of the water park.

Q Are portable cribs available to reserve during stay?
A

Please leave a comment on the reservation booking screen with your crib request. Portable Pack 'n Play cribs are complimentary but are first come, first serve and cannot be guaranteed during high occupancy periods. Please be advised that if the Pack 'n Play is not returned upon check out there is a replacement charge.

Q Are self-service laundry facilities available?
A

Self-service laundry facilities are not available at the resort.

Q Are there vending machines in the resort?
A

Each floor has a designated vending machine and ice machine area.

Q Can I purchase additional water park passes?
A

Our water park is exclusively reserved for our guests. In the event you have visitors during your stay, a limited number of additional water park wristbands (valid for one day only) may be purchased. Additional wristbands are $40.00 each and you may purchase one guest band per registered guest (3yrs+) in your suite. For the safety and security of our guests, wristbands are required at all times when inside the water park facility.

Q Can I use the room telephone to make personal calls?
A

You do have the ability to dial out from suite phones. Local calls are included with the resort fee. There is a nominal fee for each long distance call.

Q Do the rooms have a refrigerator and/or microwave?
A

Each suite has a microwave and an efficiency style refrigerator, approximately 3’ tall and 2’ wide with a small freezer compartment. 

Q Does Great Wolf Lodge offer birthday party packages?
A

As a guest of the Great Wolf Lodge, we offer special birthday add on packages that you may purchase in addition to your suite. You will have the option to add on these packages when booking your suite online or over the phone with one of our reservation agents. Birthday Party packages are also available that include daily access to the water park and children’s activities (click here to view the birthday party package).

Q Does the resort have a business center?
A

We have a small business center that may be used for Internet use and printing documents. This service has a nominal fee. Wireless Internet access throughout the resort is included with the resort fee.

Q Does the resort have a fitness center?
A

We have a fitness center, so bring your workout clothing. Our Iron Horse Fitness Room has treadmills, a recumbent bike, stretching mats and TVs to make your workout enjoyable.

Q Does the resort have an ATM?
A

There is an ATM in every Great Wolf Lodge. Please ask a pack member where it is located.

Q Does the resort have on-site restaurants?

Q Does the resort have wheelchair accessibility?
A

Our hotel public spaces, accessible rooms, and water park decks are ADA compliant. Temporary use of wheelchairs are available through Guest Services on a first come, first serve basis.

Q Does the resort offer child care?
A

We do not offer parent free day care or babysitting services.

Q How can I secure valuables during my stay?
A

There are small safe deposit boxes available, free of charge, at the Front Desk.

Q How clean is the resort?
A

Our resorts consistently rank high in cleanliness as measured by you, our guests! Our housekeeping staff works hard to make sure each room is cleaned to the highest standards and to keep our common areas spotless. We use green cleaning chemicals that also meet disinfection standards. Our water park utilizes state-of-the-art water treatment equipment to ensure our water quality exceeds health code requirements and we sanitize our water park floors every day. We ask that guests shower before and after using the water park and we ask that guests follow the CDC's 6 Pleas for Healthy Swimming, which include taking children to the bathroom often and not swimming when ill. (www.healthyswimming.org) We also ask that diaper dependent persons wear a swim diaper. Our retail stores have swim diapers available for a nominal fee.

Q How do I set up a group meeting/stay at Great Wolf Lodge?
A

Be it a wedding, corporate meeting, youth group or class trip, our sales and catering staff is eager to help you plan a great stay. Great Wolf Lodge offer spacious meeting rooms equipped with wireless and other state-of-the-art meeting amenities. Q If my family has food allergies, how can I let the resort know?
A

We have specially trained chefs that can offer a variety of special items for your family to enjoy. Please contact the lodge directly at 913-299-7001 to speak with a Food and Beverage Management team member.

Q Is grilling / cooking permitted at the resort?
A

Grilling, cooking, birthday candles or any other types of open flames are not permitted in suites, patios/balconies or on resort grounds.

Q Is Internet access available?
A

Wireless internet access is available throughout our lodge, which you can access from your room or common areas. Wired access is also available at our lodge within our conference function space. Internet access is included with the resort fee.

Q What amenities are in each suite?
A

Each suite at Great Wolf Lodge comes standard with microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board.

Q What amenities are open to the public?
A

Excluding the water park, Cub Club and Story Time, all additional amenities are open to the public. This includes our restaurants, spas and MagiQuest.

Q What happens if there is inclement weather?
A

Q What is available at the in-lodge spa?
A

Elements Spa Salon is a full-service spa with a Zen-like atmosphere which features a variety of products. Get a massage, manicure, pedicure or facial. Reservations are recommended. There is also Scooops Kid Spa which specializes in manicures and pedicures for children 12 and under.

Q What is Cub Club?
A

At Great Wolf Lodge we have a rule: Everything must be fun. Since that goes for learning too, we created Cub Club especially for your Wolf Pups. We’ve packed this kid haven with activities and crafts designed to enlighten and entertain your younger ones for hours. Hands-on programming, crafts, activities and custom souvenirs will give those cute, pruney little hands a break from the water park fun. An adult must accompany all children under age 18 while attending Cub Club activities.

Q What is Story Time?
A

Join us at the Great Clock Tower in the lobby for Story Time every night following the “Rhythm of Nature” Clock Tower show. Our younger guests often like to wear their pajamas and slippers while listening to bedtime stories read by one of our Pack Members. Check the Lodge Life activity guide that you received at check in or ask a Pack Member for details.

Q What is the smoking policy?
A

Smoking is not allowed in any area of the resort or water park, this includes the use of electronic cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. However, you may smoke outside on your private balcony or patio as long as you keep the suite door closed.

Q What is the tax exempt policy?
A

In order to be tax exempt the reservation(s) must be made in the name of the individual who is tax exempt and paid with the organization’s credit card or checking account (check must be received 30 days in advance of arrival). The individual must also fill out a tax-exempt form from Great Wolf Lodge’s accounting department and provide appropriate documentation. For additional information please contact the accounting department directly at 913-299-7001.

Q What is your process for submitting requests for donations to charitable events?
A

Great Wolf Lodge requires that you submit a letter of request on your charity's official letterhead. Please include the following information: When the event will take place, the number of attendees expected to attend and what type of event you will be hosting. The letter needs to be mailed or faxed to the property directly. Please allow 4-6 weeks for a response.

Q What time is check-in?
A

Check-in time begins at 4:00 p.m. or as rooms become available. However, you are welcome to play in the water park as early as 1:00 p.m. In the event that your room is not ready, we recommend that you pack a smaller bag with bathing suits and swim gear and leave the rest of your luggage locked in your car. Stop by the front desk to let us know you’re here and pick up your water park wrist bands. There are lockers, showers, and changing areas available for your use in the water park. We require guest checking in to be at least 21 years of age. Photo ID is required upon check-in along with credit card for incidental charges.

Q What time is check-out?
A

Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. As our guest, please feel free to enjoy the water park facilities until closing. We recommend packing a smaller bag with bathing suits and a change of clothes and leave the rest of your luggage locked in your car.

Q Where can I purchase toiletries if I forgot something?
A

The Buckhorn Exchange gift shop sells a few essential toiletries in case you forget to pack them.

Waterpark

Q Are cabanas available to use in the water park?
A

Cabanas are available to rent for your family’s comfort and convenience in the water park. A cabana has seating for four with a table and chairs, a 20" flat screen TV with satellite access, a safe, Great Wolf Lodge playing cards, and a copy of USA Today. There is also a mini refrigerator that is stocked with an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages. Please contact us directly at 800.608.9653 to reserve your cabana today!

Q Are coolers permitted in the water park?
A

You are welcome to bring coolers to the lodge; however, they are not permitted in the water park area.

Q Are life jackets provided?
A

We provide courtesy Coast Guard approved life jackets on a first come, first serve basis. We strongly recommend that children under 48 inches and weak or non-swimmers wear a life jacket. Please note that inflatable toys are not allowed in the water park.

Q Are lockers available in the water park?
A

We do have a locker room with small lockers available for your use. The lockers are rented on a daily basis for a nominal fee. Larger items, such as luggage, will need to be kept in your room or vehicle.

Q Are the waterslides wheelchair accessible?
A

Waterslides and our elevated attractions are not wheelchair accessible.

Q Are there any water park restrictions if I am pregnant?
A

Because we do offer some rides that are considered to be extreme, we encourage you to view the restrictions for each attraction.  We also discourage use of the hot tubs. 

Q Are towels provided in the water park?
A

Water park towels are provided for your family and are included with the resort fee. You may wish to bring a beach towel or cover up as we ask that the towels stay in the water park area.

Q Do children need to be supervised in the water park?
A

All children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times in the water park.

Q Do you allow casts in the water park?
A

Casts are allowed in the water park. There are requirements for certain rides for maintaining body positions such as grasping handles or keeping legs in position. These criteria, in addition to how the cast will contact the ride will determine your ability to wear a cast on a ride.

Q Do you sell day passes to the water park?
A

Here at Great Wolf Lodge, our water parks are reserved exclusively for our registered guests. This is our way to avoid overcrowding and long lines.

Q Is my child safe in the water park?
A

We employ hundreds of lifeguards, which have extensive training in monitoring pools and operating rides. You may observe some of their regular drills performed during operation, which provides real-life practice. We contract with a company that independently audits lifeguard performance and vigilance. In addition, we would like to remind parents that although we have award-winning lifeguards, they are not a substitute for responsible parental supervision. Lifeguards are provided to monitor and respond to emergencies, but not to baby-sit children. Always keep your child within arm's reach and if your child is in the water, you should be too.

Q What are the water park hours?
A

The indoor water park is typically open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.* or 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.* daily. You may start using the water park at 1:00 p.m. on the day of check in until close on the day of departure. Check in to your suite begins at 4:00 p.m.; therefore, we recommend locking your luggage in your car and bringing in a small bag with your bathing suits so that you can begin playing in the park. Check out is at 11:00 a.m. the day of departure but you may continue to use the water park and lodge amenities until close.

Q What is the common attire and footwear for the water park?
A

We recommend that you bring bathing suits, aqua socks, or flip flops for the 84-degree water park. Our lodge is considered casual but we do ask that when you are outside of the water park that shirts and shoes are worn.

Q Is my room assigned when I use Online Check-in?
A

No. Room assignments are not provided until you arrive at the lodge.

Q What are the benefits of Online Check-in?
A

Online Check-in saves you time at the front desk by starting your check-in process online from your home. You will have a speedier check-in experience since your reservation and billing information will be confirmed before you arrive.

Q What do I need to provide when I arrive at the lodge?
A

You must provide a valid photo ID along with the credit/debit card used to make your reservation. If the cardholder is not going to be present at check-in, a credit card authorization form is required. Click here to download the credit card authorization form.

Q Where can I get help with Online Check-in?
A

If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please use the Chat function to receive assistance from a reservation agent.

Q Where do I go when I arrive at the lodge?
A

You will proceed to the front desk where a team member will greet you. That is where you will receive your keys and waterpark wristbands.

Q Will my room be ready when I arrive?
A

Room check-in does not begin until 4:00 p.m. or as your room becomes available. However, you can arrive as early as 1:00 p.m. to begin using the water park. There are changing rooms, lockers, and showers available for you.
