We're headed to the Poconos location soon. Any special activities or promotions in March?
THE OHIO "RESORT" 2-26-2015 I only have two stars for now because we haven't been there yet, but I've had a horrible time trying to reach the staff since last night. I spoke to the general 800 number for help last night. His name was mark and he was VERY helpful. My family and I normally stay at the traverse city in Michigan resort. So far there is no comparison between the two. I am very disappointed in the Ohio one already without even arriving yet. I will be updating tomorrow after staying and hopefully it will be a much better experience for us. UPDATE: 2-27-2015 We arrived at the hotel around 6:45pm. My friend dropped my kids and I off to check in while she make a quick run to the Target around the corner from the hotel. She was gone for about 35-40 minutes and we still hadn't been able to check in. Normally, there is an option to check in online and even though we did that we still had to wait. They had nothing ready at the front desk. We booked two mommy and me pedicures at the salon and had two pup passes. If I hadn't said something to the receptionist she wouldn't have even provided us with passes. We decided to get dinner at the hotel restaurant and we stood in line while the hostess stared at us like we were inconveniencing her. Our waitress was nice but seemed like she was on drugs and took twenty minutes to even take our drink order. Keep in mind, we have two kids with us under 6 years old that just sat patiently through a 2 hour car ride and just wanted dinner. The food was great when it finally arrived. Everything closed by 8:30pm even though we were told at check in that all the shops close at 9 or 10 pm. The only thing open was the arcade, so we took the kids down there. We spent $50 on a preloaded card and when we started looking around we noticed that about a quarter of the 50 games in the arcade were broken. When we were half way through cashing in our tickets the automatic counter broke down too. All of the .03 cent toys were extremely over priced in ticket value. We got back to our room and realized they only provided us with 3 pillows, so we called the front desk to get more. We called the front desk, guest services, housekeeping and even the main hotel number and not a Single call was answered. Finally, after about 25 minutes if calling, we decided to use our cellphones to try to call the 1 800 number for the main hotel call center. We finally got in touch with someone who directed us back to the front desk. We spoke with Olivia who said she was the only person there and that's why she couldn't answer the phone. You would think that a hotel at 90% capacity would have more than one person at the front desk before 10pm but apparently that's not how they do business here in Sandusky. So far were are trying to just relax while watching movies with the kids but will update more tomorrow.
I've been sent an email with a promo code for 20% off. I've tried to use it over and over but it's not working.
Any specials going on for March, like the February cocoa? We are going to be there in 2 days :)
