I would like to plan my granddaughters 4th b day party there in concord. About 10 adults and 3 children but only 6 of us would be spending the night. How would that work with the pricing for the non water using guests and the ones that arent staying over?
Hi Lynn! Our little one recently celebrated her 4th birthday. What a fun age that is! I know your granddaughter will be so excited to have her party at GWL! Those of you that will be staying the night at the Lodge will receive wristbands to enter the waterpark once you check-in. Those guests who aren't spending the night will also need wristbands to enter the waterpark, even if they aren't going to enjoy the slides. Day passes for those guests are $40 per person. If, on the other had, the non water using guests will not be entering the waterpark to watch all of the fun or staying over, you can simply invite them to your guest suite for the birthday party at no additional charge. When making your reservation, be sure to check out the birthday party packages that can be added to your reservation. They offer great amenities for your birthday girl! I am thinking of bringing my four granddaughters ages 14,11,11, and 8 - is the waterpark enough to keep them busy? How much is the teen arcade? Other suggestions from tween aged kids? Thank you.
Hi Pam! What a crowd you will have! We have taken children those exact same ages to the waterpark, and there is more than enough there to keep them busy. Northern Lights Arcade's prices are comparable to other arcades. You will need to purchase tokens in the arcade, and the games range anywhere from 1-4 tokens each. Other suggestions for them would be MagiQuest, which is an interactive adventure game within the Lodge. The MagiQuest store is on the 3rd level of the Lodge above the Grand Lobby, and they'll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. gr8_space would be another option, but it is geared more towards the teenage crowd, and the minimum age requirement is 10 years-old. The girls can always head outside and play a round of Howl-In-One mini-golf! I hope you all have a great time, and thanks for your question!
I know that check in is not until 4pm and we can't use the waterpark until 1pm, but can we do the other things like the minigolf and arcade, etc. before then?
Yes you are welcome to play in the "dry" areas of the hotel prior to 1 pm. This gives you an opportunity to find your way around, check stuff out and get into the GWL frame of mind! Have fun
We are debating on whether or not two 11-year-old girls would like to do the MagiQuest or the Kids Scooops Spa. What is your recommendation?
Hi Valerie! Honestly, I think your girls would love to do BOTH! MagiQuest is perfect for their age group because they can participate in the quests on their own and figure things out without the help of an adult. I also think that they would LOVE Scooops Spa. What girl wouldn't enjoy getting a pedicure, manicure, or facial all while enjoying their favorite sundae?! In my opinion, both activities are perfect for their ages, and I think they'll have a fabulous time! Enjoy your stay!
What are the prices like at the Scooops Kids Spa?
The prices range from about $39 for a facial, $49 for a manicure and $79 for a manicure/pedicure combo. This includes an ice cream treat at the Bear Claw. The Spa also has packages for birthday parties.
Does staying overnight give you access to all activities or are there extra charges? e.g. kids spa, game room, etc.
Staying overnight allows you access to the Concord waterpark for two days. There are a few activities (Story Time, Great Clock Tower show, and Cub Club) that are included in your stay as well. There are fees for Scooops Kids Spa, gr8_space, MagiQuest, and the Northern Lights Arcade. A Paw Pass can be purchased which will save you some money over buying everything individually.
Elements Spa Salon is a full-service spa with a Zen-like atmosphere which features a variety of products. Get a massage, manicure, pedicure or facial. Reservations are recommended. There is also Scooops Kid Spa which specializes in manicures and pedicures for children 12 and under.
