Frequently Asked Questions
I am thinking of bringing my four granddaughters ages 14,11,11, and 8 - is the waterpark enough to keep them busy? How much is the teen arcade? Other suggestions from tween aged kids? Thank you.
Hi Pam! What a crowd you will have! We have taken children those exact same ages to the waterpark, and there is more than enough there to keep them busy. Northern Lights Arcade's prices are comparable to other arcades. You will need to purchase tokens in the arcade, and the games range anywhere from 1-4 tokens each. Other suggestions for them would be MagiQuest, which is an interactive adventure game within the Lodge. The MagiQuest store is on the 3rd level of the Lodge above the Grand Lobby, and they'll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. gr8_space would be another option, but it is geared more towards the teenage crowd, and the minimum age requirement is 10 years-old. The girls can always head outside and play a round of Howl-In-One mini-golf! I hope you all have a great time, and thanks for your question!
I know that check in is not until 4pm and we can't use the waterpark until 1pm, but can we do the other things like the minigolf and arcade, etc. before then?
Yes you are welcome to play in the "dry" areas of the hotel prior to 1 pm. This gives you an opportunity to find your way around, check stuff out and get into the GWL frame of mind! Have fun
Is Howl in One Mini Golf included?
Hi Meredith, The Howl In One Mini Golf is not included in the price of your room. If you purchase a Paw Pass, it does include a free game. Otherwise the cost is $7.95 for adults and $5.95 for children. I hope this helps you out. The Howl in One Golf is a lot of fun and is great for a dry time activity. Thanks for the great question. Karlyn
How much does it cost to play mini golf at the Lodge?
Mini golf is a great "dry" activity at GWL. My son gets a kick out of all the funny animals that make up the course. It is $7.95 for adults and $5.95 for children. If you purchase the Paw Pass you receive a free round of mini golf. Have fun!
The indoor waterpark is typically open from 10am to 8pm* daily. You may start using the waterpark at 1:00PM on the day of check in until close on the day of departure. Check in to your suite begins at 4:00PM; therefore, we recommend locking your luggage in your car and bringing in a small bag with your bathing suits so that you can begin playing in the park. Check out is at 11:00AM the day of departure but you may continue to use the waterpark and lodge amenities until close.

Let’s face facts: No family vacation is complete without a round of mini-golf. Be sure to make a tee time at Howl in One Mini Golf, our 18-hole, interactive, outdoor mini-golf course. And with giant life-like beavers, golf ball-eating fish, and floating greens as our course features, it’s a course exciting enough to be challenging, but easy enough to entertain putters of all ages
