Slaying a dragon? Defeating a Goblin King? It’s now all in a day’s play for families staying at Great Wolf Lodge. MagiQuest is the first live-action adventure game of its kind at a resort.

Appealing to everyone from very young children to older adults, MagiQuest is designed to immerse you into a world of Renaissance-style fantasy propelled by modern-day technology. MagiQuest works like a videogame in the sense that it challenges you – the “Magi” – to complete quests, accumulate powers, and proceed to higher levels of the game. However, unlike a video game you won’t be confined to a computer screen.

Instead, Magi (you) cross into a three-dimensional, interactive world and become the main character in a live action adventure game, completing magical challenges located throughout the resort. Choose from a selection of quests – each with a different level of difficulty – solving riddles and clues to gain power in the enchanted kingdom. As you acquire new knowledge, your magic wand records your accomplishments and you become more powerful!

Choose A Wand and the Adventure Begins!

The adventure begins when you choose a magic wand (actually a high-tech instrument that controls play and signals simple “magic” effects, including opening treasure chests, winding clocks, and creating music), which becomes your own to take home. You can embellish your wand with special “toppers” and adornments.

After a brief “wand training school”, you – the Magi – step into the world of MagiQuest, where you choose your quest from the Quest Master. No two encounters are identical and you become part of the enchanted kingdom as you begin your quest through the resort.

Many quests, however, can only be completed through teamwork with other participants, including family, friends and other Magi. As you accomplish your quests, you’ll earn points that translate into more abilities. These increased abilities can then be used for your next chosen quest or encounter and with the magic built into your own wand, you can return to MagiQuest at any time to resume your adventure, during your stay or upon a return visit.
